This girl has 4000 Facebook friends?

It's kinda off-putting and maybe even a little intimidating honestly... I added her on Facebook a few days ago, and we've been flirting and getting closer to each other. But she adds new people by the dozens every week and if her ability to meet new people is so good it makes me feel like just another number and not that important to her. After all I only see her like two or three times a week.

She's on the dance team in our college, she always is meeting the football players and the basketball players and going to all these parties and she's such a social butterfly.

I've got maybe a few dozen friends, only a handful of real close friends..I don't know I usually am very confident in myself and what I have to offer but with this girl.. I honestly feel that she's too good for me and that doesn't happen much.

How do I know that I'm important to her and not just another friend or another person giving her attention while she's with football players at these huge college parties?

Never did the Facebook thing but I do know women like that. While obviously all those people aren't close friends, their social calendars are always full and they're constantly bombarded with new people they meet. They quite literally have the pick of just about anyone they want, whether it be for a relationship or other benefits. Not a big believer in "leagues" but you have to be a certain kind of person to keep up with someone like that--and prepared for them to be everything you fear. If you're still interested and up to the challenge, just try to get to know her better... her character will reveal itself in time.

Why don't you just ask her out and get to know her better? Maybe you could even bring up the fact that she has 4000 friends and see what she says. If she likes you then it doesn't matter how outgoing she is or how many friends she has. But I would just consider what you are getting into, you may know this girl some but as you said if she goes out that often and meets that many people that's something you;d have to get comfortable with, both her meeting and being around a lot of guys and her maybe not being around you as much as you'd like.

She never texts me first..most girls don't ever really. But when I do text her she responds. I texted her once and she didn't respond for a few hours, but when she did she apologized saying she was at work. She also suggests we hang out sometime and flirts with me, but I guess all these good signs are being clouded by her social circle and status.. I mean she goes clubbing and partying and meets new people all the time I don't feel like I'm important to her really.. hah I sound so insecure

How would someone with 4000 friends ever get around to reading your messages? Your updates? If you post something on her wall, it'll be bumped down a mile within 5 seconds. Wtf.. it makes the whole concept of Facebook moot... she's so overloaded with friends you can't practically keep in touch with her.

She has some sort of mental problem probably. Just forget about this broad.

It was probably some dude who created a Facebook page and intends on hacking your computer.

Sitting behind a computer tells me two things:

1) Girl is an attention whore.

2) Girl is a narcissist and feeds off of compliments to help her boost her self esteem

3) It's a guy sitting behind a computer LHAO (laughing his @ss off), at everyone who chooses to accept his request.

Facebook should not be a substitute for real life.

Lol, well I met her in real life before adding her. I've always wondered what type of girl it takes to have 4000+ Facebook friends, I mean at some point the Facebook page isn't even used to keep up with friends, so why even use it? I wonder what having so many friends says about her, I mean in person she's extremely nice and friendly. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually meets quite a bit of the people she's friends with, but she probably doesn't make close friends much.

Having 4000 friends SCREAMS "insecure." Your best bet is to find a girl who doesn't have Facebook. Less problems and BS to deal with down the line.

I think if she has over 4000 friends and she has time to reply to you then you must be doing something right. I'd say just keep going for it and if it happens it happens if not then you shouldn't really worry about it.

Now, you have to remember one thing. Even if a person would have 3000 friends on Facebook, that doesn't mean that this person even has a single good friend.
