Doesn't mean you should give them YOUR money, but even if you did, a chicken sandwich at McDonald's costs $13.00!
God, I wish there was something I could do. I always said that God made the wrong people rich. Sorry, it's just what I believe. ☮️🎄🎀🎄
I've run into quite a few that don't seem to be very hungry, at all. I used to work at a 7-11 on the graveyard shift and the donut guy would come in every morning around 4:00 a. m. to replace the donuts. I noticed that he was throwing away all the day-old stuff so, I asked him if I could take them to feed the birds at home or in the park on the way home? He said it wouldn't bother him at all so, from then on, I'd give him a shopping bag and he'd dump it all into there and I'd take them home with me at the end of my shift. Sometimes, I'd eat a few. I had to go through town to switch buses to get home. While going from one bus to the next, I'd see a few "homeless" people on the street and offer them my donuts and they'd refuse! They can't be that hungry, then!
One was this girl in her 20's, I think, and she'd just sit on the sidewalk all day with 5 or 6 little kittens running around all over her all day. Where is she getting the money to buy food for these kittens? How is she able to change clothes every day? Another was a guy who I think was supposedly transgendered. He was at least as tall as me and had HUGE long dreadlocks down past his ass!! I mean, each one was about as big around as my wrist! A black guy; he acted fem and would dress a tad fem but wasn't very good at presenting fem. One of his dreadlocks had snapped off about half way down his back and was hanging by about 7 or 8 strands of hair, well over a foot away from the rest of that dread. The last time I recall seeing him, I was on a bus going to work one morning and he gets on the bus in an area that you had to have a lot of money to live in!
Then, there was this other young black guy. He reminded me A LOT of the creature in that one Arnold movie, I think it was called, "Predator". He was very dark and skinny but, not from hunger, like I spent most of my life skinny as a stick but I ate like a horse. And, he had dreads down to his shoulders but these were very nicely braided, not natural, like the other guy. He's always showing up wearing very nice clothes, $50 sneakers (back in the early `90's when non-name brand sneakers only cost about $20.00) and would sometimes show up with a 12 or 24 speed bike!! He would stand outside the 7-11 and beg money from people going in or out. Usually, he would open the door for people and about half of them would give him a quarter.
Then, there's this wandering band of people that look like they'll slit your throat just as soon as look at you. They're all in their early to mid 20's, covered with tattoos, all wearing the same torn up brown and black clothes, carrying cardboard signs, they all smoke and each one is walking a dog!! They tend to stand in areas on the road side where there's gonna be a lot of traffic and quite often, a line of cars waiting for a light to change. Those of their victims! Where do they get the money for the cigarettes, the dog food and the tattoos?
As far as I know, the real homeless are the ones living in cardboard boxes under bridges.
A lot of people don’t understand that the prospects for many Americans have changed radically. We’ve imported over 10 million people in two years and put them up in hotels and apartments. There are people in my small town who, unable to outbid the USG, find themselves on the streets. Do they take their kids to a homeless shelter? Difficult decision given the shelters have a lot of the crazy types who were often homeless beginning in the 1980s. There are reasons other than wanting to drink and do drugs for avoiding the shelters.
@RealMarek
You are so right. I don't know if the average American 🇺🇸 realizes that the number of illegals that just walked into America is over 10 million. To be honest, the last count I have in my mind is over 5 million in this year. And they are still walking right through the borders no questions asked. Maybe it's just too many for most people to grasp, but it's true.
What chaps my ass and breaks my heart is when they throw our Vets that were willing to give their life to protect Americans, they are homeless now because the illegal aliens got their hotel room, apartment, etc. and being a Vet isn't worth shit - the illegal aliens trump a Vet.
Good, let them go and fight in the next war since they made America THEIR county.
And nobody else better call me a cunt again for staying my opinion.
“being a Vet isn't worth shit…”
Which is why we have a recruiting crisis. The sorts that do the actual fighting don’t want to die for the scum that constitute the globalist elites or for their intersectional race baiting.
“Good, let them go and fight in the next war since they made America THEIR county.”
Unfortunately, this is the plan. Dick Durbin said so on the floor of the Senate. They’ll not hesitate to turn force towards the “deplorable” old-stock Americans, after all.
Last time I offered to get some homeless guy some food. He said he hadn't eaten i a couple of days. He got mad a swore at me. Said if I wasn't going to give him some money that I should just f@ck off & die.

The ones I see on the streets are not in shelters because the shelters don't allow drugs or booze so yes, I assume that is what will happen. Just to be on the safe side I won't give to any of them.
@exitseven
If you were to give money to the homeless how much would you give? Like I mentioned before a chicken sandwich at McDonald's costs $13.00.
@exitseven
Ahh - words coming from a man who has never had to struggle in life. So tell me 7, have you ever had any adversity at all in your life or are you just lucky?
I mean, it to EVEN YOU (with all of your knowledge) over a year to land a job. What would happen to you if they bumped you out of your job and replaced you with a trained illegal aliens? And your wife is in the medical field you said? Well, healthcare workers are a dime a dozen and she could be replaced.
With both of you unemployed what would you do to pay for your mortgage and food, and let's not forget the upkeep of your summer 🏠 house on the lake?
I don't mean to jump on you, but let's face it, you aren't hurting for anything. Other people aren't as lucky.
And if you happen to see homeless people during the daytime hours, it's because they have to stay outside all day until they unlock the door for them to come in at night.
Sleep well on your nice fluffy pillow 7. Good night 🌜
No harm no foul. Just food for thought. Ok?
Dsmn, I worked hard my whole life and nobody ever handed me anything. It took me 15 years to get through college because I had to drop out twice because I kept running out of money. I appllied for Pell Grant and other stuff but was turned down. Nobody handed my wife anything either. When my kids were little we lived just above the poverty line. We were indeed the working poor. I had shitty health insurance so if I had to bring one of my kids to the doctors it meant that we had to skip the supermarket that week. We used to go to a supermarket on Saturday night because they would mark the meat down. This was when stores were closed on Sunday and they figured the meat would go bad anyway
We might have bought some hamburger and chicken and sometimes at the register we would have to put some stuff back because we didn't have the money. We would see people blow through the checkout with a shopping card all filled with steaks and roasts and throw a book of food stamps at the cashier and go out to the parkinglot to meet her boyfriend in a Cadillac.
When my kids went to college we filled out all the FAFSA. Forms and got zero help from the government. I took out a home equity loan to pay any tuition bill I vcould not cover. I paid taxes my whole life and when I needed a little help all I got was a blank stare and a bunch of excuses. So, I paid my own way and expect others to do the same
Don’t really have much homeless here, maybe in the city but I don’t see much here, sometimes I give a few bucks, fast food isn’t quite as expensive here as it is by you it seems but it’s caching up
I usually give "essential bags " to homeless people. I've had a few people refuse and just ask for money. Those are the drug users. Real homeless people graciously accept them
Im guessing its pretty much the same now as it was in the past.
No, you should absolutely not give them money.
@sage2021 totally agree
