They say that our power grid is mostly unprotected. Anyone can gain entrance to a power station and blow it up. Enough of those go down and so will our grid. That will cripple us and open us up to some bad shit. It had been noted that a lot of military-aged single Chinese men were coming in along with who knows who from South America and other parts unknown. Is Biden even capable of seeing that all this could possibly destroy our nation? With no power nothing would work, no traffic lights, airports, ATM's, banks, or food stores. We would be ripe for an invasion from everywhere in the world. And yet all the dolts who back Biden are blind to what he is doing to destroy our Nation and our freedoms. None of us have any say in what goes on in Government, but we should. We are the idiots who vote these clowns in.

With all the ILLEGAL people moving in- unchecked- the basis for real "terrorism" has already taken place! (I have no problem with doing things the legal way as my ancestors did 4 generations back from me- Ellis Island in this case.)

As for "the grid", smart car companies are now jumping off the EV bandwagon (Bidenwagon?) , because they suddenly had the epiphany that the grid just can't support the power drain! And this goes back to 6th (if not 5th) grade science: whenever you change the form of energy, there is inherent power loss. Period. There is no escaping that fact. Whether friction, heat, transmission, etc., there is a loss. Proof in point: EV's were just stranded a week ago across the midwest. Batteries work even less efficiently in the cold- 40-50% less. Add a heater to keep your toesies warm and pffffft. And this is before we get into the geo-political problems of rare-earth metal availability across the planet to MAKE the batteries.

So, yes, the groundwork has been laid- and continues to be extended- for problems in the future.

Someone better start worrying- and soon!!!

That's what I've been saying. To fuel this need for more electricity they will need new coal fired power plants. That or nuclear. Either will screw us in the end. So electric cars are not the answer any more than a lobotomy will help Biden get a brain.

@daniela1982 electric cars are more expensive to buy. They are more expense to operate. They are more expensive to repair. I imagine that they are more expensive to insure. If you wanted to sell one that is 3 years old it would be hard vecause if you bought a used one, in another year or rwo you would gave to replace the battery at 20K. Unless these issues can be addressed, just leave me out of it

I was sort of expecting something other than the Israeli protests on New Year’s. Thankfully nothing happened. But don’t forget the upcoming Superbowl. Can we still call it that? Thousands of people in one place!
I have heard the same things about the power grid. Even the Sun has the capability of shutting down the grid! The solar flares are in a peak cycle at this time.
So many things that the next president will need to undo. Make that the next several presidents! Hopefully the younger generations will have things better than I expect.
