I can't help but agree with you. A few months ago I posted here on GAG, that there was a big surfing event here in H. B, which always draws many of the lowest common denominator from everywhere in southern California.
After the event, an acquaintance of mine from Boeing sent me a video of what can only be described as one neanderthal, white thug, sitting with a black man, and for some reason, he began to head butt and beat the black man while someone filmed it.
The black man eventually began to defend himself, and the two ended up in the sand grappling with the black man hopefully killing or seriously injuring the white thug.
I was disgusted to see this kind of trashy behavior on our beaches and yet it was recorded and went viral, an example of what you are illustrating here by you question.
And no, I hate to see this kind of thing, but I cannot deny it goes on daily. Horrible reflection of our society at large.

I do agree that it has become more evident...
but, I am not sure it has been declining dramatically
I guess, this... would be about perception

I think if you could see people from say 1000 AD and look at them as the years progress, there would not be a huge difference, technology yes, but people do people shit. If anything, we tend to know more right from wrong these days, we still do it but we know it’s wrong. The last 50 years did not invent sex, foreplay, promiscuity, same sex, theft, murder, rape, etc, humans have been doing that for ever.
It started sinking to new lows when the internet was created and everyone could watch porn. TV and video games addled the brains of teens everywhere, as they ushered them into adulthood. That is why some guys have no social skills with girls, because they never got off their gaming chairs to socialize.
It has less to do with technology, and more to do with conditioning mostly younger people to abandon the values that the culture and society is built on. "Technology" is a tool for this process, but it can be used both ways.
Technology is advancing more quickly than the people are capable of adapting their morality. Just when the people reach the end of their ropes, tech makes that rope longer. In TV shows and movies, what was "hot" a few years ago, is tame now. Example: Kirk and Uhura in the 60's, etc.
Traditional definitions of morals tend to come with a lot of extra self-serving baggage. Throwing them into the online gauntlet gets all that baggage scrutinized in such a way that is not gentle with the core morals.
here is another take on it
https://www.youtube.com/embed/fuFlMtZmvY0we aren't investing in it, there's no $ in it. there's more $ to be made in being pathetic... see hollywood.
church/relgiious invest in this... which is rejected by science.
so we decline...
how much time do people spend studying morality? not enough...
It's not. Why do you assume that people didn't have badly when it was hidden? Do you think bullying only sprang into existence with the rise of social media? That "Florida Man" exists as a touchstone of meme culture because Floridians are ACTUALLY crazier than everyone else?
Being more aware of something doesn't make it more common.
I mean, does the drastic reduction in slavery and bigotry mean an increase in human morality?
4 billion years of evolution are a lot stronger than 400 years of enlightenment.
social media has pandered to the lowest common denominator. They have not hit rock bottom yet.
What morality in your opinion is decaying? If anything people are valued based on their morality much more. People compete if anything to show how much they suck disenfranchised groups off
As technology improves, humans get worse, it's quite simple
It's been happening for the past 150 yearsI wouldn't say stagnating, it is either crashing and burning for some and it is improving for others.
I know right? what should be done to these filthy degenerates?
Its not. Its just now you simply see it more.
Nope, the opposite.
The plague of our age is immorality.
Ask men they're responsible for all this mess
What is and isn't moral is subjective
