Here's CT law... yep, you can.

Ya think that person has registration, enough insurance and training?

Ya think that person gonna hang around if they were at fault causing an accident?

Ya think if they were injured they are going to pay or you are?

Check if your state permits this... what's strange is that the states that support it have the best public transport. go figure.
