What is the law on parents hitting their kids and what should it be?

People who hit their kids are the biggest fucking morons I have ever seen. Unless your kid is throwing hands with you, just fucking give them a timeout.

I have babysat for children and been raised myself, I know for a fact you do not need violence to discipline children. Stop being lazy, stop being intellectually lazy and start being a decent human being and not hitting a fucking minor. Ugggh these people piss me off so much!
