Why are people who tend to proudly say they’re extroverts are so full of themselves?

I’m tired of meeting narcissists who thinks everyone loves them, but they don’t. Like my sister used to make fun of me for being antisocial, but the funny thing is that I have more friends than her. And karma got her because her daughter turned antisocial lol. Or how this guy who used to call me awkward, nobody hangs out with him despite him judging me. Same with this other guy. His girlfriend doesn’t even like him 😂 They’re always so annoying too. Like damn. Get a mouth plug.

Oops, I'm one of those who always says I'm an extrovert. 😅 I don't expect people to love me though.

One of the reasons I point it out is that I'm very long-winded. One of the distinguishing factors I learned from a psych major is that we extroverts tend to think out loud, literally.

We tend to have to do is since we have more difficulty processing in silence than introverts. It's something I tend to envy a lot in introverts is that they can think more in silence whereas I tend to have to think more out loud.

There's a difference in speech patterns you can notice between introverts and extroverts this way. Extroverts tend to very rapidly respond but sometimes in a messier way since we're kind of exploring our thought processes out loud. Introverts tend to pause more before they respond and often have much more cogent answers since they're able to do most of their internal exploration of thoughts in silence.

I actually envy this ability in introverts. It's something I lack a lot. When I try to process in silence, my mind ends up going off the rails in like 100 different directions. I actually have to speak typically to even start going in a semi-consistent thought direction.

They are insecure
