I was thinking about getting on it once I close the distance between my boyfriend and I because we're not ready for a child right now.

I have the copper IUD and love it. I’ve done the combined pill before but the side effects suck, especially in how it affects you cognitively and emotionally. While my insurance covered my bc 100%, to buy it over-the-counter might not be as cost effective. My insurance also covered the IUD, but it is more cost-effective considering it doesn’t have to be replaced for ten years (though I will get it taken out the moment my life is more stable and happy and ready for kids!).
Opill Is 98% Effective When Used Correctly
Desogestrel if taken correctly is more than 99% effective.
do your math, it's your decision in the end... but if I have to take something I prefer it to have an expected effect. And talk to the doctor
Ok thank you for letting me know that. I will definitely talk to the doctor once I can afford one.
Is this different then the reg pill? Any side effects like weight gain or anything? My wife hated being on the pill so maybe this is a better option?
It has no estrogen in it unlike the combo pill that is more traditionally taken by women. The side effects are unknown yet because it's a new pill on the market. I won't know anything until a month or so has gone by and get the reviews from others about it. But a lot of the estrogen free pills the mini pills don't have as many side effects as the combo pills. So it might not have weight gain or acne or migraines like the combo pills have.
Did she take the combo pill with estrogen in it?
She did, but never liked it
Then this might be a better fit for her then.
Yep already told her about it. Thanks for posting this!
maybe lets see how safe it is
I was thinking that too. It's no reviews on it yet since it just came out but by the time I close the distance with my boyfriend, it would have been out for a while now to give me enough time to decide if I should get on it or not.

Might be looking further into it
Interesting. I think it’s great that it’s OTC for easy access.
Im not interested in the pill though. I’d forget to take it, I personally prefer the patch.
I can’t wait to hear everyone’s experience once it’s been out for a while.
I think so too! And I can't wait to hear everyone's experience on it as well. I'm not going to go on it immediately. I'm going to give it time to build up reviews and by the time I move down with my boyfriend, it should garner many reviews and I will ultimately decide then if I want to be on it or not.
No, I don't like the idea of popping pills.
Nah I'll probably never take birth control again
you can buy it now but pray the GOP doesn't get control of congress & the white house or they'll ban it
Yeah I know I could buy it now but I don't really need it now because I only see him once a month and use plan b for when he visits. But I do hope that there doesn't become a ban on it. That would suck.
My question is weight gain and mood swings?
Not sure it has those side effects. Won't know until a month or two from now when I read the reviews.
I wouldn't take anything that is not prescribed by the doctor.
I’ve have no issues with a copy iud. I’d rather avoid the daily pills.
I wouldn't take anything such as this without consulting a doctor and getting second opinions.
No I’m not sexually active and don’t plan to be
Why are you buying pills off Amazon and your research is incorrect? a lot of you chicks wonder why men won't marry you nor have kids with you
. You ladies don't have brain cells
What do you mean my research is incorrect? I got it from the direct opill site. You can also buy it in stores like Walmart, Walgreens and CVS. You sound stupid 🙄
You also sound very bitter. Just because you can't find a man to marry you doesn't mean other women who choose to buy the opill can't find men to marry them or have kids with them in the future. He didn't even make it a suggestion for me to get on the bc pill. I'm choosing to. So you sound dumb.
Only if my doctor recommended it.
Oh ok. That's smart. I don't have a gyno right now due to high costs to have one with my insurance but I will try to get one before deciding to take the opill.
I'm just not one to put anything in me that will mess with my body chemistry without consulting with my doctor, who knows my health history. Even if he recommends OTC medication, I still have him write a script for it since my insurance will cover most of my Rx drug costs as long as he writes a script.
Is it for men or women
It's for women
Nah don't take that
Why not?
Not si ce my vasectomy
