I go to lgbt church and there are lots of refugee claimants comes. And they claim refugee that they are gay, but I don’t see them gay. They are straights. I mean they are from Uganda. Uganda has the law against gays now and some comes for refuge but they are not gay. What should I do?
Things are not quite as simple and bleak as portrayed in certain media outlets. Only about 15% of those who make initial contact with immigration authorities in order to request asylum actually get it. The rest get deported. The problem is that it takes a few years for the courts to get to them because of the backlog.
Unless a crime has been committed, ICE won't respond immediately. But you can get something into their file while they wait for their case to come up.
Personally I think any and all freebies should end. This is disgusting that our government is willing to give money, cell phones, housing and food to someone who broke the law to get here and give little to nothing to the homeless here that are citizens and in many cases Vets.
Not to mention they just keep raising taxes to pay for this.
