I've been noticing more "diversity" on the Amazing Race too, and how certain demographics seemed to be overperforming. Me and my dad always commented about how CBS is doing it deliberately. I tried to brush it off as a coincidence, though in the back of my mind I suspected there was something more going in.
Now, I just came across that article that spilled the beans on a diversity quota that was instituted on "Survivor" in 2020, and Jeff Probst is praising it as a good thing. I stopped watching "Survivor" long ago, but occasionally I see clips and previews, and I've definitely noticed a lot more "diversity", race baiting and snowflakery/PC.
While I don't have an issue with them encouraging other demographics to apply, this is not the way to do it, and it's wrong on so many levels. I'm surprised the media isn't talking about this and the FCC hasn't sanctioned CBS for this.
After coming across that, I wouldn't be surprised if The Amazing Race is doing the same thing.
I watched the first few seasons of "Survivor" and never considered it "too White" or "too straight". They've had people from all backgrounds. And what pisses me off most is those groups never had any interest in doing that kind of show. Carlos Mencia even made a joke about why blacks never apply for "Survivor", now they have the nerve to say they couldn't get on because of racism.
I saw a clip from one season where all the blacks were being voted off 'cuz they were underperforming, and the other black players said it was a "racist conspiracy" from the White players.
This is disgusting and wrong on so many levels. They should get on the show because of their skills and personality, not their genetics or sexuality. Extremely unfair to applicants who were probably qualified but didn't get accepted because they were "too White" and "too straight". Disgusting organization!
