Australia has a reputation and is well know for having dangerous snakes and spiders.
It’s actually factually true homicide or one person killing another person in Australia is much more common though.

I read online there have been no deaths in Australia from a confirmed spider bite since 1979 and there is about 2-3 cases per year of death caused by a snake bite.
There were 377 victims of homicide and related offences recorded in Australia in 2022
