Australia is a well known country for having venomous snakes and spiders but I read this online.

Deaths from snakebite rarely occur in Australia — two people die per year on average.

There have been no deaths in Australia from a confirmed spider bite since 1979 but in 2016 22-year-old Jayden Burleigh died with an infection from a spider bite. A redback spider bit Jayden while he was walking on the coast of New South Wales.

Evolution is a process, however, ultimately it is an Effect. For instance, Evolution could not be a process if there was not Resting Mass, Resting Energy, and Resting Motion (Physics) to interact and start Evolution as an Effect. Those Resting states did not self-create or self-start. Evolution as First Cause, the underpinnings , of human Being (ness) is both nonsensical and unsustainable.

I mean humans are the biggest danger to humans. That part certainly is true.

But when reading statistics like this, consider two things:
1. How many people do you interact with on a daily basis?
2. How many snakes do you interact with on a daily basis?

I will also say that we're one of the most dangerous to other animals. Though for most of us, it is by passive means. And when it is by active means, consider that if there were enough wolves, they would render deer extinct without even knowing that's a thing. Let alone sitting in groups considering how to mitigate their deer impact.

So like, we aren't perfect. But we're at least aware of our impact in this regard, and are able to act on it.

We might have destructive tendencies, but this misanthropy is a bit much.

We're actually kinda miserable killing machines. The weakest of the great apes, no horns or venom or other features. We can choke the most easily because being able to talk was more important in our development. We don't come from a long line of predators.

Our empathy is some of the most advanced in the animal kingdom, and we kept a gene associated with empathy and bonding that Chimps lost.

We aren't built for destruction, we're built to be clever. We aren't destructive because we seek destruction. We are destructive because we are able to achieve things that nature itself hadn't taught us to handle.

there's no animal that thinks "boy, carbon levels are sure high today" or "it feels like we migrate earlier and earlier because of this 1 degree change that will shift ocean currents."

World and deer populations have to be regulated because left to their own devices, they can wipe out major areas of flora and fauna. They aren't counting their environmental footprint. Instead, things like equilibrium come passively after enough of certain creatures starve. Few animals actively consider their affect on that equilibrium.

We've just advanced into unknown territory.

People will say stuff like this and be like "but the Holocaust! Look at how murderous we are!" Meanwhile we could have 26 ant wars happening in our yards, with no surrender or humanitarian agreements, just 26 genocides dozens of times the size of the Holocaust.

Are we destructive? Sure. And we're relatively aware of that, and trying to work around our humans flaws to fix it. But don't make the mistake of rose-tinting nature. A single volcano eruption can have more energy than the entire global nuclear arsenal.

@OpenClose I am saying in from my experience, I am from Georgia, we have had 2 wars with Russia in the past 30 years, both of them ended with us losing our territories and lots of people died in the most tragic and inhuman ways.

I can’t help but think that given the chance, we would destroy anything on our ways.

Most of the animals kill for necessity, we kill for pleasure and we torture for pleasure.

I don’t have a very high view on us, humans.
