Why are conservatives seen as racist, when I as a black man, have been treated worse by my leftist friends than any conservative has treated me?

I wanted to investigate this for myself. So when Trump had a mid term rally near my home I thought "I'm gonna go see how these people are for myself". ...

Between security, getting in, and the speech I was there for about 5 hours total. I had no signs and wasn't chanting anything just watching and I swear I met the ABSOLUTE NICEST, DOWN TO EARTH people you would every want to be around. I wasn't called any names, only got smiles and hellos, and actually wonderful conversation about WAY MORE non political stuff. Even discovered one older lady had taught my brother in jr high and she remembered him after 20 years. Now as I was leaving... the anti Trump protestors outside had plenty of names to call me just by the simple fact that I was there!!!

The next day I can recall a CNN guest referring to the rally as a "White supremacist rally". Oddly enough a good portion of Trumps speech was how the media lies to you and CNN took less than 24 hours to prove Trump 1000% correct!!!

Additionally when family and friends found out that i was voting conservative, they started calling me "Uncle Tom" And using all the racist remarks and insults that they claimed that conservatives use. I have been disowned by family, and abandoned by friends and had my life threatened because i changed my politics to better align with me being a god fearing christian man.

Trump got 8 percent of the black vote in 2020. More than twice any other Republican Presidential candidate. In some polls he is at 30 percent. He polls even better among black men. It appears you are not alone.

First of all, your personal experience is not representative of other peoples experience nor reality. It is a subjective thing that is only true to yourself.

Secondly, racists and other bigots can be very friendly in personal interactions because their hatred is usually directed at "others", people not part of their group and outside their perception.

This can manifest in for example a racist having a racial friend that they consider "one of the good ones" while at the same time push for hatred against the general racial group and others that they do not personally know. You might think that because of this its not really a big problem, but you are somewhat missing the point.

You can befriend any number of MAGA supporters and have them accept you but you will never be accepted by MAGA as a whole. If they get into power and move against any racial group, which they are interested in doing, you will still be a victim no matter how many MAGA friends you have.

You are not the only one who has experienced this acceptance before being "betrayed". Dave Rubin for example has been buddy buddy with the conservatives for a very long time and he was completely accepted into the group as well as one of the most prominent voices in their media. But inevitably the day came where they turned on him. Why? Because he is gay, and no matter how well liked he was or accepted into the party it did not protect him from being alienated and attacked.

So yes, you can keep this going for a while, maybe even your entire lifetime since politics moves slowly. But there will come a time when MAGA turns on you or people like you. Just like how they did with the gays, the jews, the trans etc.. One at the time, the group will be purged and every time it happens those who are left will think its the end of the purging. It never is. Your time will come.

It's because most on the left cannot defend their positions. Let's take illegal immigration. They can't come up with a rational way to defend this statement "How is it good for America to import millions of unvetted human beings from unknown sources and unknown motivations to come into our country and burden federal and state budgets at the expense of Americans"?

So they'll go "You're a racist for opposing illegal immigration" to deflect the conversation. Most people don't want to be seen as racist so they'll attempt to defend themselves.

Now the debate is over whether that person is racist or not rather than whether mass illegal immigration is good for the country.

What are you talking about? "Illegal immigration", as if such a thing could even exist, is not accepted due to national benefits. It is accepted because of international laws.

USA, as part of the UN (just as an example), wrote that very law themselves, then they signed it and now you got to follow that law. If you dont want to follow international laws then you either need to get them changed or you need to leave the organizations these laws are part of. Whining about having to follow your own rules afterwards is unbecoming.

Mine is not an opinion. I simply stated the fact that USA is currently existing under international laws and to do what you want would be "illegal" as you like to call it. To say national or international laws supersedes the other is missing the point. They are not the same, just because they have the word "law" in them, aside from in countries like the Netherlands who basically says international laws is just an extension of their own national laws.

Point is that what you want is breaking international laws, which has its own consequences, and is also a very good argument for holding a position of allowing "illegal" immigration. Because doing otherwise is literally illegal which I thought was something you cared about judging from what you said.

If you want to argue that breaking laws and doing "illegal" things is not really a problem then fair enough, two can play that game, but to me it is starting to sound like you are the one who can't defend their position.

Sanctions, erosion of national power, disillusion and distancing of your allies, eroded trust of your own population, a flaw that undermines your position compared to your enemies and a weapon they can use against you.

Breaking international laws is opening up a weakness in your own nation that anyone with some resources, time or proper motivation can use again, and again, and again. It is not something I recommend for anyone who values strong and stable countries with good friends.

I've actually looked into the UN charter and the laws present, and none of them say that we are required to allow anyone who wants to come to the US to just waltz right in.. Even the asylum laws state that said immigrants must seek asylum in the nearest country, and the vast majority of criminal Aliens aren't from Mexico they are from central America, South America, and a few other countries, none of which share a border with the US.
