There are two separate trials in two separate courts going on: REAL courts, and the “court of public opinion.” The latter might hold some impact, but it doesn’t have any official stamp of veracity. REAL court is what decides what history says.

The Stormy Daniels stuff is kind of silly. But if it’s against the law, it’s against the law, and his own former lawyer already did time for this, and Trump was protected because he was in office. If it’s a misdemeanor, don’t trump it up to a felony if it isn’t warranted, or twist themselves into a pretzel to justify it. Play it straight. Look a little bit closer. The vast majority of gun crimes occur in certain area of certain cities in the US, and if you keep looking, you will find that not only do those same cities have vastly more gun crime, they also have vastly more restrictive gun laws - which really only restrict the law-abiding people, because criminals don't follow the law. Look even further and you will find that all of those ultra dangerous cities have had a Democrat super-majority for decades, but crime (especially major violent crimes) have gotten worse.

If you look at conservative-run cities with minimal gun restrictions, you will find significantly lower crime rates and lower levels of gun violence, despite having more guns.

Moreover, 20 years ago, when a couple of states passed permitless concealed carry, leftist politicians went on TV and screamed that this would lead to a huge increase in gun violence - that people would shoot each other over every minor disagreement - but what ACTUALLY happened in those states was that gun violence fell. This same sequence of events happened again and again and again, but there are now 27 states with Constitutional Carry (no permit required) and in every case, gun violence was reduced.

It's as if the Democrats don't actually care about reducing gun violence, only increasing restrictions. Hmm...

Let's talk about high gun violence in red states. The majority of that gun violence is in blue cities. Name a state ill tell you the blue city AND the gun stats from that city.
Where do illegal gun or guns used by criminals come from? Many sources, home theft, guns that come across the southern border, straw purchases which many states have made illegal. Very small percentage of guns are legally purchased and used by the original purchaser in crimes. Bail is used to make sure the person who committed the crime shows up for his court case. In cases where the crime is very serious the bail might be high enough where the criminal might have to stay in jail until his trial. You think that's cruel? What about the Jan.6th people who are still in jail and haven't had their day in court yet.
So what else would you like to know? Let me know if you want stats on anything I've said here.

Goaded, the SCOTUS has ruled on this, for example in the Heller case, so while you, as a non-US citizen who doesn't live in the US can certainly have your opinion on this matter, you aren't entitled to pretend that you have some monopoly on the interpretation of the Second Amendment or that you know better what the intent of those who wrote and passed the amendment thought.

However, from 1939-2008, SCOTUS held that the “obvious purpose” of the Second Amendment was to “render possible the effectiveness” of militias, and the amendment must be “interpreted and applied with that end in view.”

*That* decision, following at least a century of upheld state gun control laws, was unanimous, unlike Heller's 5-4.

Even Heller included: "Nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions on the commercial sale of arms."
