A group of college fraternity brothers defended the American flag at the University of North Carolina’s (UNC) Chapel Hill campus on Tuesday as pro-Palestinian protesters attempted to tear down the flag and put up the Palestinian flag. The fraternity brothers defended the flag for about an hour despite pro-Palestinian protesters repeatedly shouting profanities and throwing water at the college students.

Neutral. While I don't support Palestine, I do support people's rights to fly other flags. I think it's stupid how sensitive Conservatives are about a piece of fabric. I can fly another country's flag, or fly another flag over the American flag, if I damn well please. It's funny that the same people tearing down the Palestinian flag, have no problem flying the Ukrainian flag everywhere. Like I said, I don't support Palestine, but I hate double standards. If you have a right to fly the Ukrainian flag, they also have the right to fly the Palestinian flag. I'll wipe my ass with that etiquette list for how to treat a stupid piece of fabric. Other countries love at this. I swear, Conservatives respect the flag more than their wives, and if it had a pussy they would totally make love to it. Never seen people get so sensitive over a stupid flag. And American flags are literally EVERYWHERE! So some diversity wouldn't kill.
it's symbolic to remove the oppressing flag with the oppressed, it doesn't mean they want to fucking destroy america, it means they are unhappy with their own country's system and politics WHICH IS WHAT A DEMOCRACY SHOULD ALLOW, if america was backing russia in the russia-ukraine war, i'm sure protesters also would've replaced the us flag with ukraine - i didn't realise people cared more about flags than lives but i guess that explains a lot of modern problems
While I don't support Palestine, I do agree with your sentiment. It amazes me as well how these Conservative idiots, the same ones who claim they support freedom, get so sensitive over a piece of fabric. The funniest part is, these same morons have no issue flying the Ukrainian flag everywhere.
I sent some British girl a list of our flag etiquette and she was laughing that a document like that actually exists. Conservatives care more about the flag then their wives.
There was a girl at my work who was told to evacuate because there's a fire and her priority was taking down the flag. I feel part of it was intimidation and the fear of social stigma for letting a piece of fabric burn
Flags stand for something. Men fought and died for what our flag represents. People who hate the country hate what the flag represents. What those men fought and died for originally they didn’t think what they fought for would end up being for nothing. Your ignorance tells enough
I don't think the flag represents what it once did. It doesn't matter. They're hypocrites because they shit on Liberals for being snowflakes, but then get so sensitive about the flag. And I agree with the girl, a piece of fabric, made in China for that matter, certainly isn't worth more than someone's life.
I am very intelligent actually. More intelligent then you. Intelligent enough to know what Betsy Ross and our founding fathers would be rolling over in their graves. I'd probably have more respect for the flag if it was the LGBT flag with a machine gun on it, because then it would actually be an accurate representation of our country.

I heard a very articulate guy on a radio show say that the Dems are destroying each other. And he is trying to urge the Republicans to just let them do it. Don't get in the way, don't try and solve it, just let it happen.
I don’t know if letting it happen is always the best play… I mean we let the 2020 election be stolen and nothing came of it when we did try to do something about it. The courts didn’t care.
