Voted "wrong except under certain circumstances," i. e. the life or health of the mother.
The British statesman and political philosopher Edmund Burke wrote, "The effect of liberty to individuals is that they may do as they please. We ought see what it will please them to do before we risk congratulations." Therein lay the problem with laws that permit abortion on demand.
A society that premises its law as "Choice"- to use the locution of abortion rights advocates - effectively leaves open the question of the value of human life. It becomes not a standing principle, but a subjective judgment to each individual. In such a society, human life becomes not an end in itself, but mere instrument. Life becomes not an object whose preservation is the highest standard, but rather a convenience to be maintained or not according to the satisfaction of another's will.
We shape our laws and then our laws shape us - see also the civil rights laws of the 1960s which have effected a revolution in race relations. (The idea that a black man and a white man cannot sit together at the same lunch counter is as alien to this generation as Neptune. Yet in 1965 it was pretty much the norm.)
Inherent then in the pro-choice argument is the idea that life has no value save that which each person chooses to attach to it. It denies society any authority to make a collective judgment on such questions. Therefore, in this view, the law may not afford protection to life except at some arbitrarily defined (and inherently subjective) point.
This then conduces to an assertion of power over rights. Life is maintained not as its own end, but according to the will of the person who, effectively, controls it because they can. An ethic of convenience is established and it is a slippery slope on which to build a culture and a legal edifice.
Such a society will not value life that sees life as not an end, but as a means to some other end. Indeed, that is why at about the same time as the culture began to shift on the abortion question we also saw a rise in child abuse, spousal abuse, divorce, out of wedlock births and other social pathologies. These were not unrelated phenomena.
Aristotle said that the first questions of politics are, "How ought we to live? What kind of a people do we wish to be?" The implicit answer of those who support abortion on demand is, in effect, that it is nobody's business. Predictable results follow. One cannot expect the society to absent itself from collective moral judgments on the value of life and then expect an ethical social order to result.

I believe in human rights. One of those human rights is bodily autonomy or bodily integrity. Because of that I believe women should have a right to abortion, and arguably abortion up until birth. Why? Well there are two ways you can view this.
Option 1: The baby is not a person and therefore part of her body. She has full right to do whatever she wants with her body.
Option 2: The baby is their own person. Problem here is that you have bodily autonomy and no one can force you against your will to use your body to save someone else. In other words, the baby does not have the right to use her body as life support to grow without her consent.
There are no other options.
I believe it's wrong in most cases, but it's justifiable in some circumstances. For instance in cases of rape, incest or when the baby will be born with a disease that will prevent him/her from having a normal life. Or when the woman's life is in danger.
It's her choice alone. 100% pro choice without restrictions

It is definitely wrong for anything other than preventing the death of the mother and rape, if it has been proven that is was.
I am also against banning it as I don't think that will convince anyone who think it is a good thing why it really isn't.
I want to say that it is better to have a culture where women are taught that they have the agency to refuse sex on the grounds that they don't want to risk pregnancy, especially with someone they don't want to have children with but I don't see us ever getting to that point in my lifetime.
I went for A, but my opinion is a bit more nuanced than that.
1. There are unwanted pregnancies; limiting damage requires abortion as soon as possible (even millions of cells are not a person, by orders of magnitude).
2. There are end of life decisions, where a wanted pregnancy is highly likely to end in the birth of a baby that cannot survive; limiting damage requires abortion as soon as possible.
3. The grey area is when a fetus is likely to be born with survivable, but life-long major problems. Without serious societal support for these cases, limiting damage (in this case to the parent) requires abortion as soon as possible.
It's bad.
I feel the only thing really repugnant about abortion is society's nonchalant attitude towards it anymore. The Pro choice spend too much time screaming about the right to it and not enough contemplating the longterm repercussions of it. Abortion should always be the nuclear option, unthinkable, the absolute last resort. I know for a FACT that some ( too many) women use it as a form of birth control. And that's just wrong. With power comes responsibility. And until society starts showing they've earned this right I will continue to support anti-abortion legislation.
Animals in the wild euthanize their offspring all the time. Homo sapiens, though perhaps a higher level species, are not super special in the grand scheme of things.
Biological females should have bodily autonomy. The "rights" of the fetus should not be higher than the already living mother's rights to life, body autonomy, pursuit of life goals, etc."Life is full of uncertainty. People need to have options. Abortion has got to be one of those options."

I probably have changed my stance over the years, in general it's a women's choice. But if someone I was seeing had aborted my child I would end the relationship. Though I now have 2 small kids and have had a vasectomy. Me and OH have no desire for any more. If by any chance it happened now, we'd probably get rid.
It should only be allowed under certain circumstances and never because of disability. Women have no right complaining about racism, homophobia etc if they think they should be allowed a abortion for that reason.
Abortion should not be used as a form of contraception either, but overall abortion is just a option for irresponsible women who do not want to take responsibility which alongside hating on men is what feminism is about.
It’s really complicated and I hope the baby is the focus most times.
Consider this - it doesn't matter what you think, feel or believe about abortion, because, and I firmly believe this:
* If MEN were the ones who got pregnant, abortions would be legal for up to who knows how many weeks! Don't kid yourselves - all of that "protecting the unborn" and "stop murdering babies" shit would be out the window in a heartbeat.
Abortion is wrong except in the case of Life of the Mother/Health. I think there are also ectopic pregnancies (Basically the Baby has no chance of survival).
Now Rape exception is fine with me being legal. Even though morally speaking the child didn't do anything wrong... I don't have the heart to impose legal restrictions on a rape victim.
For better or worse that is my option.
I think k it is wrong but I respect a woman's right to have an abortion as long as the rights of a child is not infringed upon. The trick part is determining when a collection of cells becomes a child.
In reality a man's view matters not. But I'm pro-abortion it's the smart thing to do.
We have enough humans and you really shouldn't give your life up for a baby.I don't think anyone should be able to just kill off a baby for having unprotected sex.. if yoi don't want kids use protection
At the same time I think it should be allowed in most rape cases..NOTA. It's a right women should have, with limitations. In particular, abortion only before fetal viability, which is around 30 weeks gestation.
Abortions should not be regulated by governments. It's a decision between you, your partner and your doctor.
It seems to me that every person should have the right to decide about their own body. Pregnancy involves huge changes and risks. A woman should have the right to make the final decision.
The cut off point should be when the fetus is viable. When the fetus is able to survive outside the womb then it should be illegal to kill it.
In some places it is being used as the first option for birth control where it should really be the last, as women have 30+ methods of birth control, and before you say anything a man should provide his own condoms,
It shouldn't be used as birth control
it's a huge sin
