Considering, there life can be on the line when approaching a vehicle that is so dark they can't see in, then I can see why they may have an issue.

It would be an interesting poll to see how many cops have been shot in the line of duty approaching cars where the tint was so dark they couldn't see in.

I can understand that. And they have training like asking to roll the windows down. But this is the only reason people are pulled over for. Blacks more likely.

I can't see it being a black thing, especially if the tint is so dark, they have no clue who they are pulling over. I do have an issue with cops just pulling someone over for the tint reason alone. They should only pull someone over and let them know about the tint if something else is mechanically wrong with the vehicle (ie. something that could be a safety concern on the roadway). Dark tinted windows is not a safety concern for other drivers, it's only a safety concern, for the officer when they conduct a traffic stop for some other reason such as speeding, etc. And even then, it should just be a simple warning to get it fixed at the time.

I don't think most people tinting their windows that dark are doing so to protect their interior from the harmful light of the sun.
