I hope the scientists extend women's fertility so that we don't have to marry in a haste. That would empower women and ensure flexibility in family planning. Besides, who doesn't want to enjoy sexual intercourse at an old age?

My mom was 29 and my dad was 33 when they got married. I was born in 1954 when she was 30. My sister was born three years later.

I've read that an ideal age for women to have their first children is between their late 20s and early 30s. They are still healthy and fertile, they are young enough to interact with their children as they grow into adulthood, and "Studies show that children of older mothers stay in the educational system longer, do better on standardized tests, and are more likely to go to college than their peers born to young moms."
"Overall, the children of older moms were better behaved, well socialized, and emotionally healthy."

As for myself, I was never interested in having kids, but I had girlfriends from the time I was 16. I met the best girlfriend I ever had when I was 36 and she was 30. We lived together for almost two years. The sex was beyond anything I had imagined up to then.

Fertility was never a concern for me. I was grateful for the invention of the pill.

Plus from a health standpoint, the risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, and cognitive decline increases markedly after menopause. Forestalling menopause by a decade would save a lot of lives, or rather give women more healthy years.

Women do seem a bit high-strung about getting things right early on, and impatient with men who don't. I attribute this to a timeline of getting all the professional education cleared up in time to get some foothold in the job market to preserve their academic gains before starting a family. An extra 10 years would make a mountain of difference.

Sperm quality doesn't decline until after age 55, where as women's chance of a successful healthy pregnancy and birth after age 35 is less than 1%. Healthy men in their 60s and 70s have a higher chance of successfully having healthy offspring than a woman that is 36. Females start life with 1-2 million primordial eggs but by puberty that is down to 25%. So 75% are done and dusted by then. Every month it is not just one egg transitioning to maturity but many so each cycle wipes out a large number of primordial ova.

So conceptually on the egg supply side there is potential to preserve primordial ova so you run out much later in life.

However you potentially miss the window of when men are young, dum and full of cum. So whilst you might have ova at 80, men are long past wanting children/more children. So it won't necessarily do you any good.

Plus you are more likely to die in childbirth. Not sure how osteoporosis will stand up to it.

Educating women to have children when they are financially stable & mentally ready for the responsibility of parenthood with a functioning relationship since a weak household can impact that child negatively.

Right. I love choices. Thr period this can be helped in other ways but i’d love to have a kid at 50 if I really felt like it. Part of me not wanting kids is the fact that i’d have to have them young and I dont wanna have kids while I still feel like a kid. And having to find a good partner by 30 to have kids? Freezing of the eggs and surrogates. Do I feel the natural menopause age should be moved higher? No. With male counterparts having children as late as Hugh Hefner and Stallone in their 50's and 60's, why can't a woman decide after menopause to have a child? Women can still have babies at an older age. But as you get older your fertility rates goes and the likelihood of birth complications go up. But not at the age of 27... Then concern usually starts at the age of 35
