Have you ever encountered discrimination yourself or seen a situation where discrimination had a personal impact on you?

Yeah, in other countries/states either because of where I'm from or my race. Sometimes it was simply being charged extra at attractions for not being a local. This was mostly in Canada, Hawaii and some places in Europe. But in Taiwan and some islands in the Caribbean and some places in Latin America, I experienced straight up discrimination because of my race. Straight up being ignored, while the locals helped their own race, me and the only other White people being asked to pay more or give up their seats, or just blatant distrust and being treated like a lesser. Taiwan was byfar the WORST! They see anyone who isn't Asian as inferior and unworthy of equal respect/treatment. One bitch even took her mask off and got me sick on purpose, and on many occasions we were treated in ways they would never treat another Asian. They also preffered to stand then sit next to us. And in Panama for instance, they had zero respect for White American people even though we build their canal and skyscrapers.
It had such an impact that I never want to visit another "Asian" or "Brown Latino" country again and only want to visit the Caribbean islands that are owned by European countries. It made me MORE hateful and racist.
I was discriminated against ‘technically’….
So I was crying and my female aide snapped at me and said “stop! boys don’t cry” which made me cry more. I’ve had moments of being discriminated for being a guy.
Note: I’ve known women who go through far worse than this one example and they have my upmost love & respect. Let’s not attack each other for gender, lets get along & accept people for who they are. I was a shy, meek, quiet kid so me crying from anxiety / stress of a situation wasn’t outside my character…. She was a real piece of work.
I’m sure I have but I don’t remember. I moved on from it 😂
Also faced it with like social / financial status/ brackets and such. Even in odd places like some musical place or hospital. For sure in band, in school, and I was cooler than any of them because music isn’t all of life and I can recognize that. Like survival and all. They just fit me in their system at the low end but they can’t leave me there cause I don’t belong to their perceptions, their specific system or any musical system. I’m diversified so you can’t box me 🤷♀️ 😂
Happens to us a lot when we travel from Canada to the USA. Without going into too much details, if I travel with my siblings and mom, we all get flagged and questioned individually as to how we know each other, why our nationalities don’t match and why we are travelling with a lady who looks nothing like us.

Yeah but gladly it didn't affect my life. It was just a random racist karen in a Vietnamese restaurant in Las Vegas thinking I was given some sort of a "privilege" because i got served first (perhaps because I was the first customer in before her) since the waitress was Asian too. I told her I was first before her and even if she was served first, I don't give a fuck. It's not the end of the world.
Yes and in many ways what it has done to me is maybe just a stronger person and more of a fighter for other people more of a voice if they can't voice it themselves or defend themselves I will do it because it's totally wrong
When the riots were happening and the blacks were robbing and burning down buildings, I was approached several times by black people who claim these things were all my fault. I'm white and I got blamed for these things.
Yes, when I was falsely accused in college and no one believed me because I was born with a dick instead of a vagina. 🤷🏻♂️
Born on expert difficulty
In kindergarten because of my ancestry. In 5th class as I moved from one country to another. In Asia when I said a drunken guy to fuck off in night club... and online at least 2000 times.
Yeah. Literally everyone has, despite popular rhetoric.
I, for one, recognized it and, like a good little sub, blamed myself.
Never again
Yes, occasionally.
I didn't allow 'em to bother me.
I briefly dated a lovely Chinese girl at commuting Junior College. Her father banned me because I was American/White. The way of the world, unfortunately.
I was told in a job interview they couldn't hire me because of my skin colour. Yep, it's all about "equality" in the new South Africa
Yes, I am in my 50s and it was hard to find a job. People think that becaue I am old I cannot do the job.
Yup. Pulled over in a minority neighborhood and cop assumes cuz it's a car full of white guys were only there to buy drugs.
Total discrimination and racist assumptions! He was right tho 😂
Yeap. For my race, religion and gender. That's life.
No, just glares sometimes from people who I suspect dislike my perceived political affiliation, or skin color. I don't give a damn, though
As a White man, I constantly face discrimination in hiring due to DEI. I also faced discrimination in college, where scholarships were offered to every other race and gender but mine.
🙄🤷♂️🛑🙏🏻
Yes, I once worked for an apartment complex where the manager was discussing against families with kids.
Yes. I didn't get a few jobs in the 80s because I wasn't the right shade of grey.
Yes, but it's kinda normal here in the Balkans.
yes for my race. It's unfair and insulting.
I'm a black man. Guess?
Not to my knowledge.
