Apparently, Project 2025, written for Trump by the Heritage Foundation, thinks that observing reality is "“harmful to future U. S. prosperity.”

It is obvious that the National Weather Service has spent a lot of time and energy, which also means a lot of money, providing warnings to people living in the United States about what the weather is bringing us - normal storms, hurricanes, flooding, etc. - so that we can prepare for what is coming. The Heritage Foundation hates that money MAGA wants to use for making them richer is being "wasted" trying to protect normal citizens. Project 2025 is a plan for subverting both the laws and services we have created over the life of America for our protection. Money is all they think of and that is why "harmful to future U. S. prosperity." is included. The truth is that it is good for U. S. prosperity. But that does not allow them to build up their wealth at our expense.
Not only do NOAA and the National Weather Service provide warnings about deadly storms, but they also provide information on other damages to our ecosystem including what is happening under water to marine life. That information is necessary to the fishing industry. Plus it warns us what is happening to things such as coral reefs, which are important to marine life. The people who try to drag them down, including certain people on this site, are threatening the good of our nation and many outside of our nation.

Capitalism is a force that drives us to excel, but if you refer to the vices of greed and lying Government politicians with limited accountability have always been the best in that area and thus to pretend they would improve things rather than lie and cheat even more is nonsense.
The global warming scam is an example of that, here we have an enormous goverment empowering 'solution' in search of a problem as the basis of a highly questionable theory that is in conflict with the current Ice age state and history of the Earth.
There are only a few differences between a large company and a legislator:
1: companies are accountable to the people every day in the products they sell, politicians are accountable only once every 2 years at best, and only on the few issues on which people vote.
2: Both Companies and politicians are greedy for power only companies are greedy for it in the of money to buy voluntary influence whereas politicians in the form of involuntarily influence.
3: Companies have to answer both to politicians and other companies every day. Politicians only have to answer for 1 random issue every 2 years at best, and even then they can lie and get away with it as only one poll matters.

Sea level has been rising for 11 thousand years, formerly at a far faster rate than it is now.
Not sure anyone can blame sea level rise for their problems. This is how the world has always worked.
We really don't have the power to change that wisely and to be frank the alternative to global warming is far worse for nearly all life on earth including the same people.

Where I live in Britain a while back they were blaming climate change for flooding rather than the fact they had drained near by marshes for housing, huge concrete urbanisation, a lot of trees had been cut down, they'd straightened the river, they had built homes on a flood plain, flood defences upstream just sends flood water downstream.

I'm still concerned about the hurricane that took out galveston texas 70 years ago and the 1918 earthquake in japan. Before that, was the ice age.
It's their business to sell their product, which is weather catastrophe and fear. They never talk about the huge hauls of corn, wheat, etc.. It's probably accurate things are changing and faster, maybe it is worse and we need to think and plan and cooperate in humanity. That's always the case.
But I don't know what the govt is doing or can do to change it substantially.

Just a few weeks ago they were saying that it was the least busy hurricane season in decades and tried to rationalize how it was also a result of global warming. How can everything be a result of global warming? If the glob cools it's global warming. If we have no snow it's global warming. If we get more snow it's global warming. If we get less rain it's global warming. IF we get more rain... Global warming. If we have no hurricanes, global warming. If we have more... Global warming.

Show me a paper saying a quiet season is because of global warming (the physics of which has been known since 1896). There might be some articles media asking why this was a quiet season.

The difference between complex systems and religion is you can keep asking "how do you know that" and science will give you answers other than "because it's in this book".

The climate certainly changes over time, otherwise how would we have ever gotten out of the prior Ice Age? The question is the doomsday reporting that we're all going to die if we don't become marxists and what amount is anthropogenic and how much is just nature.

Hurricane Beryl was actually one of the earliest times a hurricane appeared, and they found a reason for the lower than expected count. There's still two months of hurricane season to go.
Why don't you want to read what the scientists discovered about the reasons why their six month old estimates were wrong? Do you say weather forecasts are never right because it changed from last week?

Harvey, Ian, Maria, Irma, Ida, Sandy, Ike, and Helene. They're just the most expensive landfall hurricanes in the 11 years since the article was written, each doing between $27 and $125 billion in damage.
There were plenty of hurricanes in the meantime, and six of the 10 years with the most storms (19+) have been since 2005 (2005 is the seventh, the other three were 1887, 1933, and 1995).

Yeah that's why I stated it was an older article but got the point across. The IPCC had to revise to low confidence of a linkage between global warming and more severe and frequent hurricanes/ storms. This has been a consistent issue for at least the past decade. This is why I presume DrP changed the statement to the broader, "climate change".
NOAA's website says, "NOAA National Weather Service forecasters at the Climate Prediction Center predict above-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic basin this year. NOAA’s outlook for the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, which spans from June 1 to November 30, predicts an 85% chance of an above-normal season, a 10% chance of a near-normal season and a 5% chance of a below-normal season.
NOAA is forecasting a range of 17 to 25 total named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher). Of those, 8 to 13 are forecast to become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 4 to 7 major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5; with winds of 111 mph or higher). Forecasters have a 70% confidence in these ranges." It doesn't look like we're going to get that many which is why the rest of the article goes on to explain why we're not going to have the amount they suspected.

There's a lot of information out there pointing in multiple directions. I have no doubt that the earth is warming by some marginal degree. Has been since the ice-age ended ~12 thousand years ago. Whether or not humans have had a substantial impact on it I find questionable. IPCC explains that the temperature should rise ~1C over the next century. This isn't great news if you believe some of the theories about the Great Dying, but still.
Because you have to be careful of how "more dangerous" is defined. Is it defined by property loss? Loss of life? Or the intensity of the hurricanes. I'm not aware of any study that has been able to track them for a longer period of time. I've seen some that try to hone in on the speed of the hurricanes which shows they've been increasing in the Atlantic but decreasing in the Pacific for the past half century.
