Pretty borderline. It was just as legitimate as a thousand other schools that are borderline. It was not a university. But that's true of a whole lot of private schools that bear the name "university" or "college". They basically just did seminars.
A LOT of people will spend money on these seminars that thrive on people's desire to "get rich quick". They are geared toward certain types of people, and are more likely to work for that type of person.
It was not even Trump's or his company's idea. It was an outsider who approached Trump about it.
Apparently a scam. He ordered by the court to repaid 10 million dollars.

It was just like any other technical/self help seminar business. There are tons of those around that people pay for. Is it something I would personally pay for? Nope. Some people are into that sort of thing though. If you've ever worked at a big tech company they always want to fly you out to some conference for couple of days to learn new trends in technology and get new ideas or exposure to something specific. It's was basically one of those, but for real estate investment.
They happen just about every single week in California. Does that make California a big scam?

I was a real school. I think that people had big expectations about it. I really barely remember this.
