A healthcare CEO gets murdered and everyone gets in an uproar to find the killer. Yet some girl gets raped and murdered and she winds up a cold case because no one cared about her because she was not popular, rich, or famous. Maybe this CEO was rich and had lots of money behind the investigation.

I 100% respect and understand what you are saying.

At the the same time a spur of a moment random muder just dosen't have any evidence to go on. While a high profile muder could have miles of evidence everywhere you just have to find any point to get on track.

It's all paper trails. Undoing a sweater pulling a thread.

So I agree high profile people doing crimes then all the paper getting lost or redacted is wrong. Even in a perfect justice system where a righteous higher profile person is muder there is more material to work though that is relevant to the case. Compared to even as just righteous day to day person.

It's more about the potential available data then any other factor unfortunately.
