1 yI have yet to meet a man who would defend a rapist whose guilt was proven in a foolproof way. Of those few men, I defend none. Even if the woman is really asking to be raped through an obnoxiously revealing outfit (which is actually a hellish torture for any sane, but also healthy man - he does know rape is a crime, but since he is constantly bombarded with arousing stimuli against his will, some might even claim it is those men who are kind of raped, as in forced to become aroused, in the first place), which many can easily mistake for an implicit consent, the rule of law demands that a proven rapist should face the consequences (and unfortunately, bombarding men with arousing stimuli against their will is not considered to be rape for now).
Who the men are defending are men accused of rape, protecting the accused men's right to be considered innocent until proven guilty. Then again, this trend has definitely been on the rise since the mind-boggling scale of false rape accusations by women became apparent, with some actually changing their mind about certain intercourse years or even decades since it happened, but I think that is self-explanatory. It is a simple sense of solidarity and compassion to defend someone potentially innocent, who could therefore easily be You.
As a matter of fact, it is not exactly rational for the men to side with any women who have given up on their privilege of motherhood, therefore acting against their respective societies. Now... Since not everything has to be rational and the civilization we live in includes the principle of protecting the weak, even a woman who renounces motherhood for her both selfish and poorly defined benefits would normally be defended against a rapist. However, if those irresponsible women add insult to the injury by falsely accusing men of rape en masse, it is truly foolish of those women to expect men to side with them against a man who is only accused of rape (with the accusation likely being false).

Anonymous(18-24)1 yI’ve seen this with men & women, though men get very ‘protective’ of their male role models or they deem to be a male role model…. The fact is, there are different aspects at play.
1) They can’t separate the art from the artist and must protect & defend the offender from the allegations to preserve their love of their creation.
2) They refuse to look at the evidence for & against the offender and only look at what sounds ‘good’ to them, and will fight anyone tooth n nail trying to sully their good image
3) They see all women / men victims are liars out for money, power, notoriety, and so other sinister reason rather than it is because they were keeping the man’s peace by staying quiet, went through therapy, and genuinely struggled mentally & emotionally and went through serious trauma in the process and that is the true reason they came forward
4) OR The man is actually innocent and people have a bias to not only out this person as an offender, then to attack anyone who consumes their ‘content’ & they only listen to their side that sounds ‘good’ instead of looking at both sides to draw a conclusion.
The fact is, I’ve seen people defend Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, OJ Simpson, Amber Heard, and other horrible people and I’ve seen people attack victims who share their own stories of domestic violence, sexual abuse, rape, forced drugging, assault, etc. and people (mainly men) just attacking them even without any connection to the man they are accusing… Just claiming the side of “all victims are vengeful liars” which is not true, same with “all abusers are abusers” which is not true either… My point of view is study each individual case and look at the evidence, facts, allegations on both sides to draw a conclusion don’t just play sides and don’t attack those that are speaking out against injustices of the world because they deserve a voice.

1 yOnly current or future rapists defend proven rapists. If it’s an accusation it’s understandably reasonable to nor defend or convict a man of being a rapist. Especially with all those false accusations going around… doesn’t hurt to be open to all sides of the story.

1 yYou made a vague accusation without backing it up, which makes it clear this is just emotional venting rather than a real discussion. No one is ‘defending rapists’—what people are actually saying is that women, like everyone else, should take personal responsibility for their safety. That’s just common sense.
If telling people to lock their doors isn’t ‘defending burglars,’ then telling women to be cautious isn’t ‘defending rapists.’ Pretending otherwise is either ignorance or deliberate misandry. Are you actually interested in solutions, or just pushing a narrative for attention?
211 Replyhave u seriously never heard a man defend rape? do u live under a rock?
- 1 y
You’re dodging the point. I never said no man has ever defended rape—I said that making a vague accusation about ‘men defending rapists’ without proof is dishonest. If you have examples, bring them up. Otherwise, you’re just making baseless claims and dismissing actual discussion.
dont really care cus we both know that it happens. stop doing the ”not all men” shit u sound ridiculous. I've seen loads of videos, texts where men defended rapists i could try finding one but u js admitted yk they do. so not needed apparently.
- 1 y
You keep dodging the point. You made a vague accusation, refused to back it up, and now you’re pretending that providing evidence isn’t necessary. That just proves you’re not here for a real discussion—just to push a narrative and dismiss anyone who questions it. If you actually had solid examples, you would have provided them already
im not tho. if u dont believe me i dont care. ik whats true and dont care what others think. if ur this offended ur part of the problem. i can't find videos that i saw yesterday when i posted the question. idc if u believe me or not.
- 1 y
So you posted this to make a statement, but now that you're being asked for evidence, suddenly you 'don’t care' and 'can't find' any proof? That says everything. If you had solid examples, you'd have shared them by now. You just wanted to push a narrative and dismiss anyone who questioned it. Thanks for confirming that
yeah bc im too lazy rn. still dont care lmao.
- 1 y
@filthy_immigrant don’t waste your time with this child. Refuting her baseless claims with logic and reasoning is “being offended.” 😭
lmao if u werent offended u wouldn't be here, thats why ur so triggered

6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Nowhere near all men defend rapists. It's dreadful to say that they do.
I think rape is horrible crime. It can cause irreparable harm. I know women who have been raped.
You don't even want to hear the punishments I would meet out to a rapist.01 Replydont remember when i said all.
ok wow, rape is bad. anything else?
1 yso i am going to stop you right there and just say this is kinda hurtful cause your makeing an overall assumption that everyone does this if they are a guy but to awnser your question some not all men women to id imagine dont wanna belive its its true and end up in a stage of denial
02 Replyif ur not one of them dont be offended.

not the point the point is your generalizeing all men without knowing them i have no respect for rapists but that dosent mean the rest of the men are
1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. They are rapist themselves. Also I see men do this constantly. For example... they will blame women who get the date rape drugged used on them because "oh she shouldn't have been out drinking/dressed slutty at a bar" like no dumbass those men shouldn't be trying to rape drunk women in the first place

210 Reply- 1 y
Or those men just don't respect women. But yes. Men have been falsely accused so many times, that now when someone is accused of being a rapist, people don't believe it. I saw so many people defending Andrew Tate, even some girls
- 1 y
@KostasKouvalis This dude is so freaking ugly it's crazy he's got so many people liking him XD
to be fair even if they get falsely accused in more than 95 % of the time the rape accusation lead nowhere. - 1 y
I don't watch his videos, but he seems like an asshole. And his stupid bald head reminds of my former boss.
Even so, his reputation can still be ruined. I read a crazy story about a judge in Italy who let two rape suspects go on the grounds that the girl was too ugly to get raped.
Trump said the same thing. Some lady was accusing him of rape and he said, "believe me, she wouldn't be my first choice." XD
That sounds like something BORAT would say XD - 1 y
@KostasKouvalis He remind me of my math teacher XD
Not a good thing as I hate math.
Yes I think he's one, he has been accused of being a pimp and violence and other stuff but I never really bothered to check
He can't, those accusation are not public not in France at least, it's illegal to make an accusation public, if it get public then he would be considered innocent and the affair wouldn't get judged but abandoned.
Don't surprise me coming from Italian, joke on him though in France some tough raped a 86 years old grandma...
Borat? - 1 y
I hated math too. Still do.
I guess he got off and there's this crazy Colombian girl, I forgot what state she's in, but she was running for some political office. Even Conservatives think she's a whack job and she hired Andrew Tate to work for her.
Here it's "Innocent until proven guilty", at least by law. But they plaster your face and name alll over the media and make you guilty, before you even get your trial.
Damn
Yeah. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
You should watch it. It's so hilarious and politically incorrect, though it was very controversial because of how he exploited and tricked some of the people who were appeared in it. - 1 y
@KostasKouvalis I do too hate it
This is so weird, it sound more like it's guilty until proven innocent with how they act in america,
That's sound messy XD
- 1 y
I asked a question about it, and made that argument and you said it's "innocent until proven guilty" :p
Sacha Baron Cohen is rich and has good lawyers so he got away with it. I felt bad for some of the people after hearing that, but I still find the movie hilarious. Though some of the stuff, he changed people's names and titles and gave them props that made it so obviously not real, that it was difficult to make a case.
Like did the Gypsie villagers really think it was a documentary when he made their kids hold plastic machine guns?
And the guy he labeled as a "terrorist" in another movie, he ended up winning, but he gave him a fake name in the movie, so I was surprised the guy won the case.
Mostly he just lied to people that it was for a documentary about immigrants coming to the US that wouldn't air in the US, because he wanted to use their genuine reactions in the movie.
You should still watch it though. You will laugh so hard. - 1 y
@KostasKouvalis In France is it, but in America it seem to be the reverse sometime with how they act.
I will check it, it's so messy XD As rare false accusations are suppose to be, now that I think about it... I have seen it happen quite a few times:
1) A friend got accused of dancing with a drunk girl and molesting her. He was with us the whole time at a DIFFERENT PARTY, and was a case of mistaken identity.
2) A girl broke up with a guy at our college, and claimed it was because he was physically abusive. Later, she said she lied. She had cheated and wanted to not be at fault. So she made this rumor up so that people didn't hate her.
3) A guy at my workplace got accused of harassing a girl. I was there when it happened. We were going home in the company shuttle. This girl came up and sat next to me first. She tried to make some small talk, but I was not interested as I was listening to music and just trying to relax after a long day. Then she went and sat next to my colleague who was in the row ahead of me. I had now taken my headset off and could hear their conversation. I was just chilling with my eyes closed. She approached him and lead the conversation asking how his day was and which department he worked in. They talked about which city they each live in. The guy then asked if she lived alone or with family. The girl never answered and left. The girl never answered and abruptly left. Later, I was called in by HR to ask what had happened on the bus. I told them thinking I was in trouble for something. Then never heard back. Turns out, the girl had accused my colleague of harassing her because she deemed him ask if she lived alone or with family was 'too personal'.
4) A distant uncle got accused of beating his wife. He was innocent. In fact she was harassing him. He wanted a divorce, and she made the first move and her lawyer conjured up lies. It was investigated and dropped. During the investigation, one of the daughters confessed that her mom made everything up and was forcing them to push a narrative against their dad.
5) A guy friend got rumors spread about him. Everyone knew the girl was known to be vicious and malicious. She liked him, but he rejected her advances politely. She didn't like it. They both worked at a department store and she spread rumors about the size of his penis etc. It was juvenile and irritating, but not the worst.

Which ones?
wdym which ones

Both. Which rapists are being defended and by whom?
rapists r being defended by other rapists, its not rocket science
- 1 y
Examples?
like donald trump people r defending him like crazy for being a pedo and rapist
- 1 y
I've not heard the pedo accusations. As for Trump being a rapist? If it's the E. Jean Carroll case you're referring to, there is some reasonable doubt on it. So with that being said, what other rapists are being defended?
if u seriously deny trump being a rapist we’re done here.

I have doubts.

RAPISTS U FUCKING RETARD. how is this hard for u to understand. obviously rapists defend other rapists, r u seriously denying this?
and how do yk that? tell me.
Anonymous(30-35)1 yLast I checked, myself and other men I know have never defended rapists. Sure there are dirt bags who defend rapists, but the thing is most men aren't racist. FYI, being a rapist isn't exclusive to men, there are women rapists.
06 Replythen this isn't ab u. im not saying that either. and here he goes with the ”women do it too”. basic.
- 1 y
@chocolatetwopointo It looks like it is not that basic if You do not seem to notice it until it is pointed out to You. Now... If You are willing to ignore female rapists, it is outrageously entitled of You to expect men not to ignore male rapists. Men and women can either be united or at war with each other, there is no in-between (though it is understandable that both every woman and every man can pick their own alignment). It is Your choice which one of those options You pick, but if You choose to be at war with men, do not expect them to have any mercy for You.
bc its not a problem, if u know ur not part of the problem, dont be offended.
ik female rapists exist im not stupid, but im talking ab men bc there's a huge difference in the amount of female and male rapists.
how am i at war with men?- 1 y
@chocolatetwopointo Oh, trust me, I do not feel offended. If I did, I would not be half as kind and gentle as I am with my words. My nickname is not just for show, it is a very straightforward declaration (though few, if any, managed to piss me off enough to take off my gloves to date). However, since I know for a fact that I am a self-governed part of the solution, not the problem, I do not feel personally attacked by You, even if You are not exactly making it easy for me to interpret Your words in Your favour. Now, if I understand You correctly, You claim that female rapists are not a problem, which is obviously not true. Even if there were far more male rapists than female rapists (which is highly unlikely, if we consider that men tend not to report rape or fomestic abuse to the shame of being considered "weak", while a certain group of women are known for false rape accusations against men, so I would reckon the true numbers are much closer that the official ones), the female rapists would still be a problem. Oh, and I do not think any men would defend female rapists, so even if You wanted to marginalize the problem of female rapists, You should word Your question like "What's with men and defending male rapists", implying both the existence of female rapists and the fact that they are not defended by men.
- 1 y
@chocolatetwopointo As for Your being at war with men... Well, "war" might be an overstatement, but You definitely appear alarmingly confrontational. First of all, Your initial question is not worded as a question in a friendly conversation, but more like a question a police interrogator or maybe even a state prosecutor might ask, as if You wanted either a confession or at least some condemning evidence (and condemnation) of other men. Second, as many men made clear in their answers, it appeared to be a generalization. While You did not explicitly statr the question to be about "all men", Your wording, combined with the lack of an explicit mention of "some men", made it sound like You wanted to instill guilt in men who would like to answer Your question. Finally, it sure seemed like You were pushing Your own narrative, like You already decided what You want to read. When some men answered You, providing additional context, Your follow-up questions sounded like You desperately wanted to read something explixitly condemning men and admitting their fault instead of learning as much about about the case as there is to learn. And when another man asked You for actual examples of men defending proven rapists, You acted like it was an obvious fact and not a very doubtful assumption, replying with "what do you mean" (and in a shortened way, which sounds extremely disrespectful, especially if it makes up the entirety of Your response). Overall, at the very best, You sound like a hardline military officer in a civil war who has just heard that his faction has entered an alliance with another faction (which is not that far from the truth, really) and commented on it along the lines of: "I do not mean to doubt the judgement of my superiors, but I have no intention of cooperating with those bastards myself". That is not how You build alliances, You know...
