How about a made-up term to troll the sane.
What's a social construct?
How about a made-up term to troll the sane.
Family.
Individual family members, such as a parent and child, are not social constructs. They're just a fact of life.
"Family," however, was created and defined by societies. They are more than just a collection of people who are biologically related. This is why family dynamics, values, and even definitions change over time and place, because societies change and evolve. Consider marriage and adoption; they can change who is considered family, but each may have different rules in different cultures. There is even the idea of "found family," demonstrated in the expressions "they're like family" and "the family you choose." These are outside of society's law, but still often accepted and shaped by how the society defines and values "family."
Family is very real, and very valuable, but it is not a tangible object or absolute rule you can touch or prove with any equation. It is a social construct.
A social construct is an idea or category created and accepted by society, but which has no objective or natural basis (e. g. money, gender, race).
They are wrong because they can perpetuate inequalities, stereotypes and oppression (e. g. gender as a rigid male/female division). If treated as immutable truths, they can limit individual freedom and justify injustice.
It’s not an objective reality it’s created by human interaction and differs by culture
It’s something humans have labeled like family, marriage, race, gender and time
This is a very interesting topic
An ex of a social construct is money, it's paper and comes from trees. Yet people decide it has worth (concensus agreement)

A "social construct" is a concept or idea that exists because people in a society collectively agree to give it meaning, essentially creating a shared reality through their interactions and interpretations, rather than something being inherently true or fixed by nature; examples include gender, race, class, and even the value of money, which vary across cultures and change over time.
Key points about social constructs:
Not natural:
They are not based on inherent or biological truths, but on societal agreements and interpretations.
Variable across cultures:
What is considered meaningful within a social construct can differ significantly between societies.
Impact on behavior:
Social constructs influence how people perceive and interact with the world around them.
It's an understanding how people communicate and over time things change.
So "Nimrod" is an example. In the Bible he was a extremely good hunter. But today "nimrod" is more associated with an idiot like Elmore fud as bugsbunny calls him that but it was supposed to be ironic. As society became more secular the meaning of the name changed.

It's how groups of human make sense of the world to create mores & taboos.
Have no idea. When you find out. Let us all know!
Its a rule made up by society that can change over time as society changes and is different in other societies.
"Social construct" as i recall was a buzzword around 2010-20 to describe heterosexuality and biological gender. The buzzwords have since switched.
