12,000-12,500 per semester. its about 26,000 per year. I'm going for pre-med so I expect to be in school for another 10 years since this is my 2nd year. I know I'm going to be about $40,000 in debt after college and even more after medical school
My college is insanely expensive, and I'm not proud of the cost. It's about $60,000 per year. But I'm hoping to major in Economics and have a starting salary of $65,000 or over after I graduate.
I pay about 2700 a semester for tuition and I live at home. I'm in my sophomore year studying pre-kinesiology; however, I plan on changing to nursing school next year and maybe even someday become a Nurse Anesthetist that makes $70hr.
Uh no. I wouldn't survive at TCU with the honor code and all. I curse, I would LOVE the option to have premarital sex, I would LOVE the option to dress in hoochie clothing & I would like the option to smoke weed every now and then.
Southern Methodist University.
TCU was a thought, until I realized they are pretty Christian. At least SMU doesn't give a flying pigs butt what you do as long as you pay.
In England it's free... and the goverment gioves you money to live off aswell, about $1600 a month (3000 pounds every 3 months... easy living, wish I'd stayed in education)
actually, truth be told, I did kinda of enjoy it after a while. Once I was sure of the best buses to take. Also they built a Chapters right where I connected buses so I could go to the washroom / pick up a magazine. And there was pizza-by-the-slice joint right across the street too.
Post Secondary Enrollment Options. Basically, High School Juniors and seniors can take college classes for free while in high school. It's only available in a couple of states though, Minnesota, and I think Ohio.
Not exactly. With PSEO, you take the classes at a college with a professor/instructor and alongside students enrolled at the school. I know a girl that got her associates degree at the same time that she graduated high school. Now she's graduating in 2012.
Truth is most aren't. Our f***ing education system is broken because it's being treated as "for profit" instead of "for education" and so we have terrible things like "publish or perish" which keeps great teaching methods from being spread around, we have over paid principles and deans of schools, we have stupid costs funded by banks that you can't default on (thanks Bush -_-) ya... f***ed up here
why is that, the school I went to had an acceptance rate for pre-meds that was over twice the national average, and it was located in one of the most beautiful places in the world
What's the point in paying that for school before college? That reminds me of the private school here. I know a girl that went there and she said it's not any different.
my high school was about 10-15k too a year. And it's been going up since I left :P private school ftw eh?
At least they are generally a LOT better than public schools.
For those of you not in the USA, there really is a benefit to spending that much on most private schools here. They will teach your kid really well (better for that f***ing money) and prepare them for college hardcore.
A lot of average people in here in the states can't afford private schools. I know there are some parents who can't afford it, but desperately send their child(ren) to private schools anyway.

Where are you at?
I go to college in New York, go figure.

School of 1st choice: Approx $20,000 per semester
School of 2nd choice: Approx $5,000-$10,000 per semester
Holy sh*t. What are you going for?
Well, the first school is a "prestigious" private school, so I mean, total tuition generally starts at $40,000+
Um, Finance(1st school) or Business(2nd school) 1st school is highly prestigious in the Dallas area. To say you went there is like "amazing."
I would feel like I wasted money. lol Unless I'm guaranteed a 100k/year job from it.
"pretentious" school in the Dallas area. Are you talking about TCU?
Uh no. I wouldn't survive at TCU with the honor code and all. I curse, I would LOVE the option to have premarital sex, I would LOVE the option to dress in hoochie clothing & I would like the option to smoke weed every now and then.

I paid, $8,500.00 a semester. :\ I had a part scholarship, and financial aid helped me a lot, but I still have some student loans to pay off.
that's extortionate and criminal
lol, You have no idea!
That sounds pretty normal for a 4 year school. They're about that here but that includes paying for living.
well, I think I might!
That was for a four year degree, and I lived off campus. =)
Yeah I lived at home for all but three months of my tenure. The commute was about 75 minutes each way on the bus. Well, two buses.
Damn that sucks! My school was and hour/hour and a half away too, but by car.
actually, truth be told, I did kinda of enjoy it after a while. Once I was sure of the best buses to take. Also they built a Chapters right where I connected buses so I could go to the washroom / pick up a magazine. And there was pizza-by-the-slice joint right across the street too.
That's awesome! Piza is yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy! =D nom nom nom nom
About $3000 per semester not including books or anything.
I'm a Business Management major. I haven't had to incur any debt yet, but we'll see. I still have another 1 1/2-2 years to go.
I'm currently enrolled at a tech college for PSEO. The bill they sent for this semester was around $3500, but since I'm a PSEO student it's free. (:
PSEO?

Is that like AP classes?

Yep, what engineering student said. I should be getting my AA degree when I graduate high school.
7000$ per semester (if I'm taking fifteen credits).
My tuition is 40 000 dollars before books and board, but I plan to pull in over 200 000 dollars per year after medical school.
wow that's to much money, why won't you tranfer schools geee lol
Because Ivy League is so worth it.
5k per annum + 8k for housing but I get this discount 75% because of dads employement so 3,25k/year
YEAAA BUDDDY!
616 per semester excluding books and accomodation.I'm doing Development Studies,I really don't know how much I expect to earn.
Mine is anywhere between 3k and 3.5k, but it generally settles at around 3200 per quarter (yes, quarter)
I'm paying around 9000 a semester for tuition and room and board. I expect to start at around 62-65,000 a year.
Is college in the US like Uni in the UK? If it is, Uni here is 9000 a year.
Nah it's SOOOO much more expensive there by the sounds of it
oh, there = US
Lol :P
9,000 pounds? or 9,000 dollars?
In the UK, the cost is 9000 pounds a year. Well, its actually between 6000-900, depending on what you do.
Oh then it's like 13,000 in dollars. Still not too bad. It's when I hear 20,000+ I think "I hope they're going for something worthwhile."

its around 700$ for a year(or two semesters)
& its one of the top colleges back here
but for me its free :)
I'm only a part time student and at my local college, one term is like $1200 including books. my major is anthropology.
What do you wanna do with that?
I'd like to work at a museum.
2500 a semester it was, something like that I didn't really pay attention to that stuff
That's called settling. :D lol
why is that, the school I went to had an acceptance rate for pre-meds that was over twice the national average, and it was located in one of the most beautiful places in the world
How is that settling? It's better than wasting 30 grand a year like some do.
anybody paying 30 grand a year is just stupid
unless its grad school then that's reasonable
Lol I was kidding.
Seriously? My high school is 10,000 a year, and my grade school was 20,000. I hope to go to either stanford or ucla, which are both a lot of money.
What's the point in paying that for school before college? That reminds me of the private school here. I know a girl that went there and she said it's not any different.

my parents couldn't really afford it, but they sent both my brother and I to private school cause of the benefits.
Tuition at my school cost me $6,300 something not including books. But art supplies are f***ing expensive. I've spent like $150 so far.
