America is founded upon the freedoms we are given and as it says in the constitution "all men are created equal under God" this applies to women, children, men , and disabled people you know I dont think a lot of people realize how different it would be if you had something like that. if you dont want them to have freedom of speech go live in china or some other country where no one gets to have free speech but taking away peoples rights in america only shows how far our country has fallen and how little people actually know about our government and I dont mean immigrants I mean citizens people who were born here... Does that not embaress you that they know our laws sometimes better than we do this just goes to show how much the founding fathers really put into motion for us.

So autism, loosely defined as being neurologically different, basically means you think, learn and experience stuff differently.

You are in effect asking if people who think differently from the norm should have freedom of speech. If someone does not conform with the norm, should they be allowed to say that.

My man. What do you think freedom of speech means? I'd go so far as to say autistic people especially should have it.

And perhaps rightly so. Society is built for the typical person, well arguably its built for the most lucky among the typical pepple, and being differeny means that society will continually clash with you.

Pair that with a difficulty of communication due to being different, not just you but a typical person is just as different from you as you are from them, and a feeling that your voice is not heard and your struggle is not seen is in plain English really bloody natural to feel.

There are, in most countries, support for people on the spectrum. I see it as an investment. Most people might not change the world but a more lateral thinker is more likely to do so than someone else. It is as much a power as an obstacle.

As a figurative example being the only person who understands how to make pizza might not be as valuable as understanding how to make pasta (staple food vs not) but the power in autism is that your understanding is more rare. If everyone else can make pasta but you struggle with it, yet you can make pizza which they struggle with that is success waiting to happen. You are a born expert. Embrace that and do not feel burdened by it. Easy to say, hard to accept of course. But is anything I said false?

Do so. I think as we become adults we more and more admire people who can be their genuine selves. Speak up. If someone is offended, fuck 'em -figuratively.

There is no such thing as 100 percent freedom of speech.
Hate speech exists and is illegal.
Also telling another person to commit a crime is illegal.

people should be allowed to speak their opinion but before they open their mouth they should think how their words might effect other people. Some people might attack you back if you say something you don’t like to them

I’m not talking about just me. Other people exist and might see perceive things differently than you. You might see something as totally normal speech but another person might see it as totally offensive.

That’s why people should be careful before they speak.
I don’t think I am an aggressive person but other people might be if you say something you don’t like.

Yes should be mindful but we can't block people from speaking the Truth that is Harmful to society in long run because it's not just about feelings also morals and societal functioning

      "Totally Normal"

Offensive is a nuanced term and normal can't be relative authoritarian defined otherwise and limiting someone's speech based on what individual defines as normal is authoritarian/fascist, weird and normal r useless words in modern society unless objective philosophical links Morality/Protecting Children More Important

We can't persecute individuals and tell them to be fake for feelings sake. Have have tangible rules

I have the freedom of not having to listen.

So why is it ''necessary'' to silence others?
