Why do people assume all parents are extroverted and social?

Anyone with some sort of intelligence would understand that a parent is still an individual with their own personality, characteristics etc aside from being a parent. Meaning you can be a parent and still be an introvert and/or hate socializing being around others. When I'm alone nobody bothers me. When I'm with my kid people expect me to acknowledge them and engage with them. I hate people.

I've never heard that before. If they do though, they probably assume that kids are going over to each other's houses, going to school sports events, and otherwise socializing and stuff. In reality, many of them are playing video games and with tablets and smartphones at home.
