The world expects/expected men to be the stronger, more active, brave, bold, yada yada. Girls can be softer, sweeter, and vulnerability is more socially acceptable. Historically the female role has been of community and to be nurturers. That is changing. Lines are all blurred now.
But don't get stuck in this mindset of yours. Gender roles are not as rigid as they used to be, and that is a blessing for many. It's all how you view it. You have a life. Make the most of it. Your future is not written. You can influence the directions you want your life to go (no guarantees though, of course. But you've got to try things.)
And remember, not every female likes bold males. Many get together with gentle, quiet, types. It's just way more difficult to find each other.
It's not like that. Gender have nothing to do here too. I'm a silent girl and my mom says me to talk often because I'm becoming boring. But I can't become talkative because that isn't my core nature.
Guy attracts from taking over situations usually and being at least somewhat a leader. A typical girl wants to feel safe and guided by the guy. He protects her. The shy guy doesn't make a girl feel like he will protect her. He looks like he can't even protect himself from a social situation without wanting to flee with his tail behind his legs.

It’s that what guys expect other guys to be like thing.
Look at yourself. You’re a grown man. Nobody has power over you. Start acting like an adult. Want your life to change for the better? Get out there.
