If many Latinos spank their kids, why is Latin American full of crimes and violence?

If they supposedly believe that spanking kids prevents crimes and drug addictions, why does Latin American still has high crime and violence rates?

If Mexican mothers use sandals and Mexican fathers use belts, why is drug trafficking and organized crime still prevalent there?

It hasn't changed. It's always been like that and likely always will be. Many women get killed, there are Mafia organizations, drug trafficking, child kidnappings, school bullyings, etc.

If you hit your wife or husband it's called domestic violence.

Not all latinos hit their kids, I was never hit. However, I do believe hitting can cause negative outcomes, but it’s not solely related to one ethnicity. And although spanking is something I wouldn’t do, I don’t have a say in how other people educate their kids.

I'm just making an observation. They're the ones that keep pushing everyone else to spank their kids so we don't have to worry about crimes. Yet crimes have always been at a high rate in those poor 3rd world Latin countries. Spankings don't prevent crimes.

not going to comment on the spanking but its possible for there to be more then one factor that causes crime and violence. for example poverty, can have a outsized effect that over shadows any effect spanking might or might not have.

not necessarily i don''t know but could be anything. just pointing out that more then one thing can be true at a time. if your measure something lets say a pizza. normally 3/4 of a pizza is more then 1/2 pizza but there can be other factors that mater more like the diameter.

Correct about the personalities but, it's possible one can be controlled or taught not to be a certain way.
Every time one pf my sibs did something wrong, I got blamed and punished for it! Basically: spare the rod and spoil the child. BUT, and this IS a BIG but, punishment doesn't ALWAYS HAVE to be spanking but the ids MUST know that they did wrong and that there ARE consequences to pay for it! But, at the same time, you can't always go real soft on the punishments, either.

Then the other extreme is always going hard on even trivial things, excessive spanking or always using spanking as first resort to everything (ex: getting spanked for struggling with your math homework and not getting the right answer)
