How should the United States expand its territory?

The United States of America hasn't expanded its territory in 65 years, since Alaska and Hawaii became states. That's the longest duration in the country's history without some kind of expansion.

There has been talk of the US expanding. But how should it do that? What territory should be added to the US first, becoming the 51st (or more) state?

Can our government ever stop pissing away the money still has in America. The government needs to stop finding needless things to spend Americans money for them and their expensive wants. They act like spoiled children buying everything in site.
Maybe Americans should decide on one amount and just give them an allowance like we do children!! 🤔

I'm over it! Everyday I hear our government is screwing the people who rely on government benefits to stay alive and keep going in this crazy country.

Why do they spend money like crazy 🤪 and then make poor seniors and disabled people get their benefits cut or stopped to pay for their insane spending habits.
They have to stop spending our money that we have because it doesn't belong to the - it belongs to the American people who worked all their lives and contributed their hard earned money but the government spent most of it giving billions to other countries for the stupidest things. It shouldn't. It's got close to 4 million square miles, most of it unoccupied. It doesn't need more nor deserve it. The Ukraine war shows what happens when people get that idea, even if America took land they'd be bogged down for decades with terrorist attacks.

Did you know that the Grand Canyon is still a mystery as to how it became. Geologists know that it has been under the ocean at least 8 times. The colorodo river is wide but not as wide as the Mississippi river and yet the Mississippi has not formed a giant canyon. The canyon is a lot wider than the river.

China and Russia are about to invade for the same reason they invaded the Ukraine. To conquer take territory and world dominance along with destroying the world bank is their objective. I saw a debate where a young Oxford Brit and Charlie Kirk argued about political tensions errupting. I think Charlie Kirks last response may ring true. I doubt it will be long before England enters the wars also.

How about Ukraine? Trump said he would end Russia's war against Ukraine immediately after his inauguration. Did not happen. As of March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of responsibility for the war crime of unlawfully deporting and transferring children from occupied areas of Ukraine to Russia. Then Trump invited Putin to come to the United States and rolled out the red carpet for him. Putin continues to bomb Ukraine and has now begun incursions into the airspace Poland and Estonia. Both of those countries are members of NATO. It is time for Trump to stop kissing Putin's ass and honor our commitment to NATO countries and also to drive him out of Ukraine. Accepting Ukraine as a part of the USA would give him the absolute right to defend them.

@NoDecision If he had ended the attacks on Ukraine, rebuilding would not be necessary. And Putin would not be attacking NATO countries which we have responsibility by treaties to militarily assisting. And if Trump was not allowing Putin to walk all over the US, we would have more respect. As for cuts in service, Trump does not needs an excuse, he just keeps cutting services to grab the money that is supposed to fund those services.

Getting Canada’s west would be huge. I don’t really know how the US could justify them joining us, other than to offer military support against the Canadian regime that refuses to let them be.
To be fair, i think it’s better to offer the support and keep them as allies than it is to try to absorb them. I don’t expect they would benefit as greatly from joining the US as the US would benefit from having them. Their current struggles with the Canadian government has given them a strong sense of their worth, as it should.

Expansion isn't a solution for internal stress that is caused by unfair wealth redistribution. Roman empire tried that with Germanic tribes and Rome got separated and conquered. It just happens today much faster than 2000k years ago.

I see no reason why they should expand. There are states within the USA with low population density. Nothing compared to overpopulated countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and parts of France.
