I've heard average language skills increase into your late 20s, but average math skills peak about 18. I don't know if that's true. Mostly people narrow their span of learning after high school. So they become better in some particular areas, while their abilities in unrelated areas tend to slowly decay.
That depends on your definition of "smart". People become a bit wiser, and have knowledge they didn't have as a teen, but the don't learn as quickly. I was never again as quick as I was when I was 18 and taking graduate classes in mathematics.
People usually don't get smarter as they progress through life. Intelligence stays largely consistent. But what I do find is that people in their late 20s- early 30s tend to be more emotionally stable and find it easier to deal with hard emotions like stress, anger, frustration than those who are younger.
In their 40s that’s when the presidents come around And perform at their best 40s 50s 60s
