and we are wondering why there is such a difference between what a guy and a girl wears in the sport of Athletics (Track and Field).
What do you think?
I dont really know the answer , but particularly with the shorts , men have a lot more problem with chaffing ( spelling ) , If I did an event in the equivalent of a pair of speedos , I'd be knacked for weeks , so maybe there is something in that? The top half , Im really uncertain , except the example of the man here makes great sense to me..
Cathy Freeman wore the full suit when she won gold in the 400m , haven't seen so many of those these days.
I used to have these little running shorts that were split up the sides. They were made by New Balance so they were not something that I bought in a porn shop but they could have been,
My wife would not let me wear them to road races. Eventually they went in the laundry and I never saw them again. Maybe thats what happened with the guy in the picture.

Id guess part function and part aesthetics …these were tested on each and functioned well. The ratio of covered is a really good point, I’m guessing some of that is aesthetics and it became the norm.

Because female sports aren’t as entertaining so they gotta show a little more skin
