Is anybody else attending the Formula One Grand Prix in Las Vegas?

I managed to score some general admission tickets. We might have to sleep in our SUV since all the hotels and motels are fully booked.

Rooms are opening up for availability already.

I was able to check us into Rio. Meanwhile, the race turned out to be quite exciting. Despite our seats, I had to tune in to the race on my phone to get updated. I’m so happy though that I finally got to watch an F1 race in person. Where were you seated?

Yeah, it did turn out to be an exciting race!

Our seats were directly across Charles Leclerc's pit lane spot which we had a clear view of.

However, my party and I would move from our seats to our hotel suites and back to get different views of the race.

Our hotel suites had incredible views of the race course and the partying went on from dusk 'til dawn.

Shaq crashed in our party and brought us some Papa John's pizzas!

We hurried back to our VIP seats for the finish and the ceremonies.

We haven' slept yet! (Yawn!)

I met Shaq in a Papa John's inauguration many years ago.

During yesterday's pre-race ceremonies, I spotted him and said hi to him.

He remembered me and my husband (yay!) and even asked where we were staying.

Good thing we had humongous suites and not just rooms or he'd fill up the party.

I introduced him to everyone in our party and my parents wouldn't quit having pictures taken with him.

Although Shaq popped in for just a few minutes, it felt like he joined us for a long while.

We're all grateful.

Meanwhile, we're flying home tomorrow morning.

The Mrs and I are driving back to L. A. today. Gonna hit the buffet for a big brunch before we check out and hit road.
