Well i used to take a lot of selfies myself back then it just like you are technically thinking that (for example: you're looking good and you are proud of it and such) so it's addicting but after sometime that addiction to taking a selfie wores off when you think yourself as ugly etc.
Some psychologists say that this might be a disorder and that its a way to inrease their self esteem and sense of worth. Call me crazy. But Im not a fan of fb as well. What do u think about that?
i have a friend who is on a few social media sites (including facebook) and he's put up his pics before but not every moment of every day. really he mainly posts stuff having to do with his music. I'm not really against anyone using social media but it can be annoying when its like people feel like that social media is most important for survival lol. I do agree with those psychologists that say that though, it does make sense
Yeah, I myself find ut stupid. Plus, they take selfies wherever they want. To describe them, I'll say that these people aren't being real to themselves and, like doing things which are trendy or maybe trying to fit in into the society.
Personally I prefer selfie because in selfies I can see how I look and change the angle according to me.. to explain some one about taking photos is boring. Selfie is quick action and mostly perfect too
Because a majority of the population feels an almost unquenchable desire to self promote. This comes from how our society has placed an inflated value on networked popularity in this, the age of communication.
There's a small bit of satisfaction in someone liking your photos. In a miniature way it's satisfying to know you're "approved of" or maybe even "above average" in terms of, what they are now calling, social skills.
Every one is stuck wanting to be reassured by the world that they are "happy", sense social likes, comments and shares. We strive for the acceptance in all social environments including thus app

I don't know maybe they get some kind of satisfaction out of it on social media
I take a ton, and I can't think of one reason I do that makes me sound like a good person. Lol
Because they're either bored, narcissist, insecure, to make themselves happy, or have an addiction and need help...
people like getting self verification from other people
It's just insecure people seeking validation for the most part
People look for acceptance, and social media gives a perverted version of it. Mainly to play into our desire of instant gratification
Omg I hate the way I look in pictures. You don't see me taking selfies at all
same lmao
