Does anyone still use Facebook?

Question

I haven't used Facebook in like a year, and even when I did, it was only for job hunting and looking at the occasional Facebook Dating personal ad. I was never a fan of Facebook, but I seem to have this subconscious feeling that Facebook has been  dead  for a while now. Like as we left it behind in the 2010s and was abandoned January 1st, 2020. Is it just me, because I've never really used it? Or do you also feel like Facebook is a pre-COVID kinda thing and that no one really cares about it anymore?

About three years ago, I gave up on Facebook (and social media in general, unless you want to count GAG as social media). I got really tired of seeing people I knew and respected get into petty catfights. It doesn't take long to realize social media exists only to shove ads and other paid content in our faces. My businesses have FB accounts but we use them only to publish obituaries.

Nah I don't care much about Facebook no more. I only had it in the past to connect with family and see what their up to but tbh I prefer Instagram way more and snap because Facebook just seems overrated. Eh it's okay.

Social media is really useless, unless working on specific content. For facebook, I mostly use it for messages to some of my friends. Sometimes I come there and read some threads of people I like. Otherwise, I don’t like to spend more than 15 minutes a day on there. It’s not worthy for me to follow the news there if I already know what news I want, except some people like to read news indirectly from someone.

Talk more about social media. I think It distracts our time and decrease our concentration overall that affect our productivity. I will say Tiktok is the most toxic and distracting social media when it proposes people’ comforts and meaningless multiple videos to waste time in (and politically like facebook and some other social media.) There are a lot of unrestricted, counterproductive and lack of institutions contents overall TikTok, and I have no ideas why major of people follow those things all the times and then complain about everything in real life. It’s good for them to quit Tiktok specially and social media generally, and do something more helpful in reality to actually know what they are saying all the time.

I used to use it to keep in touch with my friends and have a social profile. But Friends or not, they faded into their own lives. And to actually make my own, I had to break the very weak string I had with them and facebook. Wasn't one to share my business anyways.

I like it, but I something I don't like is how the automatic moderator often issues blocks and removals of absolutely innocent contents based on keywords alone, and then leaves up the rants of someone against a specific semitic minority that I won't name.

Nah, my Facebook got eliminated cause I guess somebody was trying to hack into it.. I made another one but I don't use it much at all.. Even when I did have am account, I was hardly on.. I stopped liking Facebook years ago.. I almost hate it, but not to the level of Tik Tok or the like.. I really don't like most social media.. Except here and Snapchat.. But that's cause those are different types of social media..

Few years back now I deleted all my social media, used to be an addict
Now do have 2 new once one for friends birthday and life update calander (births, deaths and marriges)
Also some info here and there on my online one (Only ever share online photos of 3D self there)
So still use it ocsinally but not often, but dont use much of any online stuff any more

Yes and I had been starting and stopping over the years.

I have Facebook for two thing,

1) for business, to either sell something or as a backup.

And Facebooks for

1) saving space on my phone, by saving my photos privately on Facebook

2) watchig the news

3) researching stores or products in my area

4) and anonymously researching people who come into my life if necessary and they are cyber-rookies (meaning they share a lot to the public).

Yeah, quite often.

I only really use it to watch videos, like whatever random ones come up on my feed, whether it's movie scenes, football highlights or whatever else.

Sims Freeplay also links with Facebook for saving data and all, so there's that too, but that's about it, like I don't really comment on things or anything like that, although I used to argue with people on there about religion, lol, but that was many years ago and I've since deleted all that stuff.

Both of us use it because we have large extended families. It's really nice to share the goings-on since we are geographically separated by 12 to 13 hours of driving.

Yes. Quite a bit. My friends often tag me in funny videos. We have a group on fb messenger too. Quite often i find out about events via fb.
