Any particular brand you use currently or you're wanting to buy in particular? Personally, I'm very boring with tech. I am no cheapskate, but I do like the "cheaper" Chinese made brands, I've owned two Chinese smartphones in my life so far like this one, and earlier Chinese phones dunh phones. Back to topic, I've had a HP laptop, and I had a Toshiba. If I was choosing my own new laptop, and this is just me, I'd buy a cheap Lenovo. Not the dirt cheap, but the second cheapest or third cheapest. 👍☮️😋🔮
Since I have nothing against Chinese made consumer electronics or consumer goods, I like Chinese brands as the old days of Japanese brands a plenty, lol, in the West lol 😋☺️
And yet a lot of people don't like Chinese brands, but whatever. ☺️
Sounds exactly like the laptop I'm using. Seems fine for web browsing.
by the way, I recently got a new desktop with Win 11. Its a LOT slower than win 10. New computer was a much faster processor but felt slower with the snail like OS. If you get a new laptop it may come with 11 and be slower than your existing one

You expect my brain to be able to work when that gif is busy making me want to coom? I heard nothing but numbers and nerd shit. Next time ask that question with a picture of a truck or something like that.
If one has an HDD getting an SSD will speed up the system. If it is not affordable or too difficult (some manufacturers make self-upgrading nearly impossible) then make sure the HDD is defragmented. Also check your startup items and see if things that are unnecessary are hogging resources.
Try a different browser - if you are using Chrome, it is memory hungry and slow as a result. If you current machine can use more memory up to 32 GB, do that instead of buying a new one. 64 GB of memory is overkill assuming you are not using the machine as a seerver. 32 GB would be enough.
That seems like a good spec you've got already. But if you've got money to burn go for it.
My desktop is like a 3rd generation i5 with 8gb of ram. Probably 10 years old. Gets me through the pr0n hub. No, kidding, don't watch that junk.
What's with the jailbait pic?
i9 is shit value for money. Your i7 should be fine provided it is a "Win 11" capable machine.
It's more likely your SSD is going, and that's why it's crashing.
i dunno? i have the same specs and have had 60 or more open tabs and my comp ran just fine. but it is a desktop so that might be different? i say upgrade because i don't know if installing more RAM would be the easy fix
What type of hard drive? If it's a ssd I would say no. If you have a classic disc drive. You should consider swapping it out to get a performance boost that should cover your need.
I don't think you need a new computer, but I would need to read the specs on your computer and some other stuff to know what is going on with it.
Honestly that spec sounds like it'll last a few years and mine is definitely not up to the same spec but still going strong! Just close some tabs and free up some of that cached memory!
can't you just bookmark things? You don't NEED all those tabs open, right?
well if it's worth the expense of getting a new high spec laptop to you, then upgrade!
You could have your laptop cleaned up and it will work faster. They just go in delete a bunch of stuff you don't see and when they're done it's like new
You don't need a new computer. Well... not necessarily. What programs are you running?
I'm thinking it goes by how many browsers you have up.
I vote yes. These days technology moves so fast you need an upgrade about every 6 months or at least once a year.
Go to dells website and design your own as you like it. Get all you need and want for the future too…..
Essentially depends on the kind of work you do
Just for multiple tabs, i think the existing config is good enough
Sure. They should have great deals in the stores ☺️
Nah, just get a browser extension that suspends unused tabs until clicked on
Why yes you do. And probably break away from apple laptops.
Honestly for what you're doing, you don't need more. If you were gaming, or coding, maybe.
How about a new laptop to for you and a lap dance for me hehe
