I think the best notifications I receive are when friends or family tell me they want to visit me for a hang out. Like on my cousin's side it was when she said she was visiting me in August and on my friend's side, it was when my friend from high school said she was treating me to a sushi buffet the day before valentines day. Her and her husband do not celebrate on the exact day cause they disagree with how romantic relationships are sold as a commercial commodity during the day, but the day after valentines day, they usually meet at a restaurant for a couple's dinner. Maybe the kids tag along too. We get along well but she has a lot of friends so I don't see her every single week.
