How long did your oldest cell phone last?

Just wondering since I read cell phones usually may last up to 5 years. I don't like to change my electronics until they die, I have a Motorola One I got the year it was launched (2018) and although it is fast, the battery lasts like two days and works in general, recently it has started to show signs of being dying (the keyboard freezes, it suddenly turns off sometimes)

How long did your oldest cell phone last till it literally just didn't work anymore?

I still use a Galaxy Ace. Leather case keeps it in pristine condition. It is now about 12 years old. Used as a wifi hot spot.

None of my cellphones stopped working, I just replaced them with a newer model. My first cellphone (a SONY) I used from 1996 till 2000. I still have it and it still works. :-)

wow, but is it still useful? You can call and have wifi connection?

There was no Wifi in the mid-90s. Those phones were to make phone-calls, even SMS texts were an afterthought. But, yes, the phone still works in the D-networks (Telekom, Vodaphone).
