Why isn't new tech thoroughly tested and proven to work 100% of the time before they sell it to us or AM I REALLY The Magnet Of Bad Luck?

For DECADES I've been dealing with brand new tech that DOESN'T work, or at least it stops working the way it's supposed to after a few months to a few years!!
Just now, I tried, twice, to DL a concert video from YT that's nearly 2 hours long. The DL'er took a couple minutes to DL the full concert showing that I was getting dozens of MB of the recording into my DL folder and, when I checked after it was done, there was only 9 MB and the recording only runs just over 9:00!! So, I tried it again, the second time, I saw it load up close to 100 MB of material and, when it was done, there was just over 8 MB and the recording only played about 8:30!! WHY am I not getting the full 1:54:36? ESPECIALLY when it SHOWS that I AM getting it?
The past few nights, I'm watching a DVD on my laptop downstairs when, for no reason at all, it just STOPS and freezes the video!! Nothing I can do with the player will make it continue! My only option is to unplug the player (an external) from the computer and plug it back in and start the DVD from where I left off!! It plays fine for about another 5:00 and then freezes again!!
I buy a turntable for my stereo and, after a few months, it no longer keeps pitch!
I buy a brand new DVD recorder and, after a few months, the fucking drawer on it refuses to even open!!
On THIS computer, about 4 months out of the box, the DVD drive refuses to stay closed when I close it!! It's been frozen partially open ever since!!
I've got a few sets of DVD's that refuse to play after just the first or second time playing them!!
2 years ago, I bought brand new speakers with a sub-woofer for this computer, about 6 months later, the sub started making these farting/grunting noises. and, after a few more weeks, refused to make any sound at all!! Then it stopped giving me sound out of one of the satellites!!
I bought a brand new external hard drive about 10 years ago and then, about 3 years later, it just stopped working!!

I've got dozens of recording projects that I started decades ago and had to abandon nearly all of them because of the tech that's fucked me over every single time I got heavily into a project!!
Does ANYBODY ELSE deal with this shit or IS IT JUST me?
