Any suggestions on a good dash cam?

I'm looking into buying a dash cam but not sure where to start it doesn't need to be the most expensive one on the market, but I need a good quality one. My mom and I got t bone a couple of days ago and since everyone's backs were tuned it was, she said he said, and the cop took the old lady's side even though she has a history of getting into car accidents.

- Vantrue N2 Pro - Has great day/night image quality and useful extras like automatic recording upon impact. Easy to use app too. Around $170 usually.

- Rexing V1P - Affordable at around $100-120 and gets good reviews for clear day/night video. Simple plug and play setup.

- Cobra SC200 - A bit more basic but also affordable at $80-100. Reliable recording and easy to install/use.

- Blackvue DR750S-2CH - More expensive at $250ish but considers one of the best. Front and rear cameras, super clear night footage.

I'd go to Best Buy or search on Amazon and read reviews to compare features like video quality, ease of use, specs. Make sure it has a good battery and emergency recording too in case of impact. I agree! Get a cam, something on the rear as well. I should get that too! Thanks for the inspiration.


I was rear ended at a red light by a driver going easily 50km/hr and he used his e-brake as his primary breaks. I was so pissed 😤
I turned my hazards on, opened my phone camera and begin recording as I stepped out of the car, filming everything in sight before even speaking to him.
