Female / family friendly topless / nude beach anywhere in Europe?

Hi all
I am planning my Easter trip and before the summer heat I would love some spring break somewhere where I can enjoy the sun rays on my whole body. I have a few friends who have done topless / nude sunbathing but I have heard controversial opinions about these places. To be fair, I once went with a friend to a dedicated nude beach in Dorset, England (surprisingly good weather!) but I could not relax at all. I was just about to go topless when I realized I had at least 20 pairs of eyes of 60+ y old men staring at me (some even with binoculars wtf). I felt so intimidated as if these men had never seen female chest in their lives. I quickly realized that not only will I not go fully nude and enjoy freedom, but I won't dare go even topless. Some friends suggested that there are some wild 'hippie' places in Greece and Bulgaria. Any feedback on that? Anyone been there and tried being topless or even nude? Is it safe being alone or shall I blush and ask a fellow female or male friend if they are willing to join?

The south of France and Spain is OK for that. On most beaches there you'll find people in normal bathing attire and a fair share of ladies that don't have a top on. Topless is more a 'herd' thing, once one or two ladies dare to go topless other women follow too.

Ibiza in Spain is a bit different, there you'll even rarely see a top on a lady on most beaches, and there's a laid back attitude towards people that mingle even nude between the normal bathers. I've seen families whereby the kids were completely covered and the parents nude, even singles strolling around on the beach of either gender completely nude.

Most of Europe has beaches that are designated clothing optional. Google your holiday destination with the key word 'clothing optional beach' and you'll find most likely a couple close by your destination. Many are 'wild' beaches, e. g. more secluded from the rest of the 'civilized' world and often w/o facilities like catering and changing cabins. It's not like an organized 'clothing optional resort' in most places.

Parents with small kids will often let them play in the sand an sea totally naked, don't be surprised to see kids like this up until 4/5 years old that are enjoying running around naked.

I have family in gran canaria n there is a huge nude beach in a resort called Maspalomas just outside Playa Del Ingles. Its well sign posted to warn non nudes to stay out n wen I've been there its v discrete. Plus weather and scenery on that beach is very sahara... sand dunes that go on for miles

My favorite nude beach in this country is Haulover Beach in Hollywood, FL. Very crowded on weekends but it's very nice and no one bothers you. I've gone many times alone and lived every time. The average age is 20s and 30s. My favorite nude beach in Europe is Paradise Beach at Mykonos Greece. The beach is unbelievable and every one is beautiful! 30% nude, 30% topless and the rest have bathing suits on but most are very skimpy bikinis and/or see-thru. No one cares what you are or aren't wearing.

Nice to hear that, my girlfriend go topless many times on Asian beaches, she confidence being nude too.

I think there are places where topless is the norm. Try some FKK beaches in Germany, anywhere in France (even lawns in parks) or places on the Mediterranean.

Honestly, it's no longer all that common with girls your age, so you will attract gawkers.

My gal wears a thong bikini in those kinds of places, but she doesn't go topless, and it seems to be mainly an over-50 crowd who still do.

• More or less many European countries permitted to get topless on beaches.
• Nude allowed are limited though.
• Definitely safe in European countries being Nude.
• Those countries pretty much civilised peaceful nations.
• My girlfriend is from East Asian countries, she and her mom really really enjoyed in Greece, Spain and Cyprus so on.
• Some occasions we do sex too inc the quite corner.

MOST, beaches in Europe allow topless, and in France and Greece, all of them. Full nude is most common in France. But honestly, with all the Muslims now, there's no guarantee you won't get stared at.
Bulgaria would probably be your best shot, as there are no Muslims there. Well there are, but they're not refugees.
It's strange you had this experience. Normally the only ones who stare are surprised American students.

Kalamitsi beach Chalkidiki and nearby at 10km tigania beach. It's on mainland north Greece central Macedonia region.
