Well, I'm Canadian so. Yes. Logically.
Apparently Americans find it so mesmerizing? I'm shocked tbh, never occurred to me those warmongering ignorants don't see it.
It's visible from pretty much every city in this country (including mine) barring the REALLY Southern ones (Toronto, Ottawa, London, Niagara, Trenton, Hamilton, Burlington, Windsor, pretty much the entire Golden Horseshoe and the surrounding area).
Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Saskatoon even, Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Montreal, Halifax. Visible in the skies of all cities during select months and times.
The more North you go the longer obviously that it is visible. Edmonton and then to the Northern Territories but there are only two cities (Yellowknife and Whitehorse) in all three of them and they're not very big so, have fun.

When I was in the RAF, I was stationed up at Lossiemouth in north of Scotland.

seeing the lights at times became a background noise thing, they are impressive.

i have also seen them when up in northern Norway and inside the artic circle,
Online photos, however first is from Covesea Lighthouse and the 2nd I think is the Skerries area.

I've always been extremely interested in Aurora Borealis and second, Aurora Australis. I've never seen them in person but I desperately want to. I've clearly googled this and have seen pictures and read website descriptions, but would like to see them in person

In AK they have these apps where you can basically chase the Northern Lights.
My roommate, coworkers, and I would sometimes go out searching for them.
The one time I didn't want to go (at 2am) I missed them :(.
Lived in AK for 3 years and never got to see them, lol.

Yes. I live in the Midwest and I was at a friend's for a poker game about 16 years ago. I was driving back home and a saw what I thought was a strange looking cloud. It moved like you see the northern lights but they had no color. It wasn't till I got home and learned there was a massive solar storm that allowed the auroras to reach this far south. I later learned that to the human eye we don't typically see the colors that show up in the typical time lapsed videos you'd see.

I have in its very very beautiful I've also been in BlackRock where they hold Burning Man and that is even more beautiful because the stars look like they're only a hundred feet up in the air is the most spiritual beautiful feeling it's just pitch black and if so many stars there's just a beautiful overwhelming feeling that you get when you go there

When I lived in Northern Vermont, sometimes when you were far enough from the city lights you could just see their radiant shimmering curtains at the edge of the Northern horizon on moonless nights.

I'm going to say no but it's very possible that I just don't remember. I live in Michigan and it's not unheard of for us to see them every once in a while but I don't remember having done so.

Every once in a while, conditions are right where I can see them from my deck in the backyard (I live in Minnesota). Have also seen them while driving at night in Northern Wisconsin. It doesn’t happen very often but it is cool to see.

I live in northern Canada. we see them here many times a year if the sky is clear. I can remember one summer we lay on the dock all night long watching the lights crackle as they raced across the sky.

Yeah when I was in the Amsterdam a couple of the coffee shops sell northern lights so I did get to see it and try it a few times

Closest I came was when it stayed light till late at night only saw little flashes of light nowhere near complete. It was an unusual phenomenon. They made a movie frequency about that day
