In terms of home decor are you the sort of person who hired someone or rather make your own?

If you are building a house from the ground up, hire an interior designer. If you are moving into an existing home, changes are that there are others in the neighborhood which share the same floorplan. Use what your neighbors have done with (or to) their homes for ideas or inspiration.
Thanks because in the future I want to own a house not right now but someday and I have plenty of ideas I want to implement in my future home.
Start keeping a file of your ideas and plans. Go to open houses just see what others have done and if you see some special details that you like, take a photo or two as a reminder. Friends of mine designed their own home and because they have a large backyard pool, the ground floor guest bath was built to include a changing area as well as a door leading directly outside. This way no one ever went into the house with wet swimsuits.
That definitely sounds like a really great idea, thanks I try to keep all of this in mind
As a yacht architect I know a few things myself :)
I think out and fabricate most of my home deco myself. But I have no problem to adopt outside products if I like them.
A ''designer'' only makes sense when one is entirely out of own ideas.

I’d just make my own, or commission an artist or people who do woodworking/metalworking, etc.
My taste in decor is mostly Mid-century Modern/Atomic/Retro-Futuristic style, so most of the things I’d have as decor I’ll just buy from antique shops.
My own. I prefer to customize it and it is far less costly to do it myself.
Good reasons to definitely save money
Naw, we don’t need help. We have good taste
I am not a clutter person so keep home clear of a lot of junk
I would do it myself but I'm to generic the house would always remain the same lol
I'd prefer to give general direction and have someone else do it.
Hire an interior designer!
Make my own.
