I've been to Canada 8 times, but only to BC and Alberta, and my last visit was almost a decade ago, so I need my memory refreshed on some general things as well.
What are some good French restaurants in Old Town, that are reasonably priced?
Any local Quebecois dishes you'd recommend, that aren't that nasty Fires with Gravy stuff?
Is the U. S. dollar widely accepted?
Is language barrier really a problem?
What kind of outlets do they use there? Will I need an adapter/converter?
What are the average costs of museums/restaurants?
Will I get charged more for being an American? (I've had this happened in Vancouver)
Any scams I should be weary of?
Is it worth taking the combo tour to the waterfall, St. Anne Church and Ille d'Orleans Chocolate Factory, or should we just take a public bus to the waterfall?
Are there any tours to Ille d'Orleans that aren't food based?
I already know more or less what I want to see, so I don't need any suggestions of places to see. So just feedback on the stuff I listed above would be good.
I'll give you bonus points if you're a local, who can drive me around Ille d'Orleans for a reasonable price.
What should I expect in terms of Customs formalities? I've only entered Canada by land. This will be my first time entering by air

I avoid Quebec like the plague, but as far as general Canada questions the outlets are the same, yes in Quebec you may have cons issues if you don’t speak French, no they won’t take USD, and as long as you don’t go around advertising you’re American nobody will know the difference.
What's your issue with Quebec?
Well, the places in Vancouver would ask for ID, then charge you more if they saw that you were American.
It’s residents. Bunch of arrogant cunts, never met one I could stand. Never heard of that happening
Isn't that most Canadians? I doubt they're worse than Vancouver people.
Toronto is bad and the Québécois are completely insufferable but otherwise no
Yeah, I heard Toronto people are really bad😂
I met some Quebec people in Osoyoos before and they were really nice. I'll go with an open mind and take it with a grain of salt. I heard the same thing about French people and they were wonderful! With me things always turn out to the opposite, so if the pattern holds true😂
I'm only gonna be there for 5 days, so it's whatever. It's not like I haven't encountered arrogant people before.
Okay, I've been here for 4 days now, and I'm not sure what people you're talking about, because the Quebecois I've been meeting are NOTHING like you describe
