What should I do over winter break? Where should I go? Anybody got any ideas or plans? Would West Texas and New Mexico or Florida be best?

I’ve been to Florida before and Florida is great. Especially in December and January weather wise. It is like paradise. Especially for golfing.

However I’ve also always wanted to go to Texas. I’ve heard the people there are very friendly and at least in the western part of the state there is a lot of stuff to do in nature. Like the Guadalupe Mountains state Park, or the Big Bend National Park. Also the Balmorhea state park has this giant hotspring. And I’d like to also maybe ride a horse or tour some ghost towns as well, which I’ve heard are everywhere in West Texas.

But beside that I could also drive into New Mexico if I was in West Texas and find stuff to do there as well.

I am not sure what to do though.

I really love Florida and I’d like to go there again, but I also am really curious about West Texas as well.

Whatever you do please do not go to Texas. The weather is nasty humidity and to many Californians. A lot of my friends had left Texas behind. Oh and the thebtraffic people do not respect your labe of singnal they tailgate you. I have PTSD on freeways thanks to Texas crazy drivers especially 9n I45.

Well west Texas is far more empty though than the part of the state you must be thinking of

Well it doesn't hurt to take a mini vacation check and see for yourself from your own experience . Try Fort Worth

I understand but that is why I was thinking of going in December when it is cooler instead of the summer months

Texas sounds fun! I bet the ghost towns are really neat and it's a plus that you can see New Mexico, too!

I've been to florida many times and that's nice, too, tho.

Tough decision but my vote is Texas. 🙂
