What happened in France?
You went to Paris, didn't you?
Which ones? Can I have a link to that post? When were you there?

The trash thing is due to poor waste management practices from the city. They don't provide people with garbage cans, so they leave their trash on the sidewalks to be collected.
There are shady people everywhere now, especially in big cities.
French people are usually tollarant if you make an attempt to speak their language, but there are some who think everyone should speak Metropolitan French perfectly.
This is a common stereotype about the French, but from my personal experience, customer service people in most places in Europe are rude and stand-offish, it's not just a French thing.
Personally, I found the French to be a lot more polite then Germans. German people lack the most basic manners. You can say "excuse me" to them and they'll just stand there or get stand-offish.
I had the opposite experience, but to each their own. I thought Copenhagen had the rudest most unhelpful people. Italians were also pretty bad
Yeah, almost all of it was in Rome. Capital cities are always the worst
Yeah, Rome literally made me hate Italians
2nd is a dangerous option to write. which American city do you prefer tokyo or beijing?
Not on my list of traveling. But I'd rather goto Germany.
Why?
I'm Polish as well. Europe has many nice places, but if I'm completely honest, the more I go there, the more I start to realize that Europe isn't as great for Americans as people think. I've been to cities in third world countries that had far better accommodations and were better organized than Europe. My last trip to Italy was the most exhausting I've ever taken.
I like nature as well, and although Europe does have some beautiful nature, there's people almost everywhere and it doesn't compare to the nature we have in North America.
Also, after a while, the cities all start to look the same.
If you're European, you can have a relaxing vacation in Europe, but not if you're a non-European, because if you're a non-European, you want to see as much as possible. While Europeans can just go to some small village and relax.
I think Europe is great for backpacking, but not for resort/hotel style holidays. If you want something like that, you need a fat wallet.
I've been to a few European cities, and they do feel very similar. Yes they have a ton of history, a lot of old buildings. Like you said some great nature area's. Like Sweden or Finland are pretty green. I guess I'd go there. I love hike trails. I've only back packed in Japan. Every place I'm sure I'll find something that interests me. But then again rarely get to go on vacations anywhere. So expensive. And I'm not much of a solo traveler. I also do t like expensive hotels, I rather get a hostel or rent someone's room.
I do have fun when I visit Poland. A lot of my family is from Tarnow. It's pretty nice over there. In the end it's all about the money.
When you say america which part? Montreal, Canada for me.
My most recent trip was in 2022 to Italy and Malta, and I've noticed there are many European countries I wanted to visit when I was younger that no longer appeal to me. I'd love to do a proper visit to France though and maybe the UK and Norway for nature. I'm still open to other places, but wanna take a break from the big cities for a while. I'd love to visit the French Alps.
A, to ty jestes prawdziwy Polak.
I usually went to Gdansk, but in 2011 I visited my dad's side of the family for the first time. They're from Silesia, so I got to explore more of the rural Poland. The mountains on the southern border are very beautiful, especially the Tatras. And Wroclaw was a very beautiful city, but I didn't care much for the people.
I live in California. Bonjour mon ami Polonais-Quebecois.
I was in Quebec City last summer. Beautiful city and beautiful culture and people.
I myself want to visit more Asian countries. Or even travel across Canada and visit each province. I'm not sure about France for me. Well not Paris for sure. Ow Norway does sound fun. I'm just to poor to travel. Last vacation I had was 2013 :( , Japan. My best trip so far. We backpacked and stayed in hostels. Tak jestemy Polak! I can't really write in Polish, but I can read and speak it. But not like I use to, lust practice. Funny thing is I also went to Poland in 2011. I also visited Tartas mountains. Beautiful views! And funny to cross the border at the top. Highest birth I've been was Krakow. Have you been to the salt mines? So many interesting places I'd like to visit in Poland. But also a lot more tough to travel there , I'm vegan. Si I'm not even sure how there selection of vegan food is today. I have a huge family from my mother's side. So I always end up meeting cousins I never knew of. Bonjour ! Oh Cali. I going to be honest, don't think in a huge fan of it :o} . Ah yes Québec city and its surrounding are very beautiful. Haven't been there in a few years. I love to snowboard up there. Culture is definitely different from Montreal. Montreal is very mixed in cultures. Small Polish community. Also most Polish are french speaking. I actually don't know many Polish people other than family.
I speak German so rather in Germany lol
I'm pretty cure they speak German in Alsace too. You already live in Germany. You don't wanna see something new? :p
French is my nightmare, so I would pass this time :D
You mean the language?
yeah... my only and biggest failure in life :D
I know it's so hard for us Poles, although we actually have a lot of words that sound the same, but are spelled differently. Probably from the time we were allied with Napoleon.
Sometimes I can understand some written French, but spoken is much more difficult and speaking it is almost damn near impossible. I thought English was bad when it comes to silent letters, but French is even worse. Though I've heard many people argue that Polish is the most difficult language, I wouldn't say the "most", but it's certainly up there. The pronunciation is difficult for English speakers, and even I still struggle with certain words like "Piotr", "Mgla", "Wstążka". And I only recently found out there was one Polish word I've been pronouncing wrong my whole life and no one caught it. I was saying, "Ostartni" instead of "Ostatni". I think there might've been a few more though. I still swear my parents say, "Dwajscia" instead of "Dwadziescia"
For me, the hardest part is the spelling. "cz and ć", "rz, ź and ż", "sz and ś" and "u and ó" all sound exactly the same to me, even though Polish speakers tell me they don't sound alike at all.
I'll admit when I write you in Polish, I have to use Google Translate a lot. But verbally, I'm considered fluent, even though native speakers can immediately recognize I'm not from there, but they can still understand me. I should send you a voice sample.
And you probably know that you borrowed "kumpel" and "kartofel" from German
it's fully understandable :) and Polish is fucking hard language. Polish kids get language proficiency at the age of 16, like Chinese kids...
Miły głos masz. 🙂
That "super" at the end, is such a thing now. My mom hates that😂
I'm curious how your German sounds
I've had people on other websites not believe I am Polish because of my writing, but I heard even Komorowski made 30 mistakes on an official document😂
writing in Polish is a bigger nightmare than speaking, take it easy
Absolutely! 100%. Poles who were born/raised abroad are more understanding.
I saw a guess the language video and 4 different girls were speaking Polish and only the last girl, I was immediately able to recognize that it was Polish.
But my favorite was the guy who said he was watching a movie where they were speaking Slovak and he said, "What is this funny Polish?"😂

That's so weird, 'cuz earlier I was actually thinking of you answering this question and I knew you were gonna say France 😉
I don't feel the same about the U. S., except for our parks and geography
I'd stick with the German towns in Germany!
