Picking between the two is a baddd idea. Your muscles need "push" and "pull" exercises to work properly. Bench is a "push", rows are a "pull". Shoulder press is a "push", shrugs are a "pull". Squat is a "push", Deadlift is a "pull".
Doing only one without the other is like building only half of a house and trying to live in it.

I'd prefer deadlift. Mostly because I have a hip problem, so squat would be problematic.
I'm definitely a lot stronger in my squat, so I'd prefer that.

i don't do deadlifts i think i'm weak for deadlifts, i do squats only.
Deadlift. Better total body workout than squat, although squat is also a great workout. Deadlift is better for sport purposes, my sport at least.
Dead lifts. Its good for your legs and back. But that being said you do need both.
My deadlift is stronger
