And, while I don't live in California I've been there many, many, many times and have never seen or heard of anyone shitting in the streets, seen or smelled shit in the streets, or seen evidence of shit ever having been in the streets. If Democrats are responsible for the filth in L. A., then how did they get away with places like Minneapolis - consistently rated the cleanest large city in the United States? The fact of the matter is, as I said, that Democrats run nearly all of our cities above a couple hundred thousand people. Is it just California Democrats who are to blame?

@Rissyanne Yeah, it's a curious thing... when Tax Day rolls around, some states pay for themselves and other states get subsidized by the rest of us. Things like roads, healthcare, education, etc. in the subsidized states get paid for by the states who come out in the black when all is said and done. Care to guess what states are consistently in the black and which ones are always in the red?
Blue states like Massachusetts, New York, Illinois, Washington and Connecticut generate more tax revenue than they receive from the Federal government. Red states like Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Michigan and Arizona nearly always take money from the Federal government because they can't pay for themselves.
So... if you live in a Red state... there's a Liberal somewhere who pays for your stuff while you prattle on about redistribution of wealth.
And yes, California is the wealthiest state in the Union by a long shot. Its GDP is about 50% bigger than that of Texas, which is the next richest state.
