There are few issues with your post. Simply because people don't protest a death doesn't mean that the victim's life doesn't matter. Other ways exist to express that a person's life matters as opposed to protesting (or rioting). When Tony Timpa died, many people started and signed petitions and many people in Dallas supported his family. Therefore, people proved that his life mattered very much. Also, the case with Tony Timpa happened in 2016 and while it probably didn't get the same amount of national media attention as the George Floyd case, the difference was that many people wanted actually wanted justice for Timpa at the time, as in they wanted the police officers that killed him to be convicted of murder. As I said, they signed petitions, called for the cops to be convicted, and supported his family. With George Floyd, people are attempting to demonize him by bringing up his criminal record, saying that he "wasn't a hero," expressing more concern regarding the riots instead of the reason the riots are occurring, and supporting the officers more than the victim. Statistics also show that police officers are five-times more likely to kill unarmed Black people compared to White people.
The issue is that whenever a White person is the victim of police misconduct, suddenly police misconduct is a problem and people want justice. Whenever a Black person is the victim of police misconduct, suddenly the victim becomes the villain and the cops garner sympathy. This is why Black Lives Matter exists, to protest and raise awareness to the unequal treatment by society regarding police matters. If it's really true that "all lives matter" or that Black lives matter, then we would be seeing the same type of reaction from everybody when Black people die because of police misconduct. By the way, do the names Dominic Hutchinson, Michael Lee Marshall, Alonzo Smith, Bettie Jones, and Keith Childress ring a bell? These are all unarmed Black men and women that were also killed by police officers unjustly just like Tony Timpa. If you haven't heard of them, then it's because their deaths also didn't garner national media attention either. People need to understand the national media can't cover every single incident that happens regardless of the race of the victims because too many instances exist that the media can't keep track of. As a result, if the people aren't aware of it on a national scale, you're not likely to see any protests on a national scale. However, simply because there are no national protests doesn't mean that their lives don't matter to people. By holding police accountable for their actions, not only do we protect future people from losing their lives by police hands, but we also get justice for those that lost their lives in the past due to police misconduct.

Police brutality should matter no matter the color, but doesn't seem to
Black lives should matter no matter who's doing the killing cuz the three killings in my neighborhood in the last 4 years were all black people but not one was killed by a cop or a white person. Yet by saying that, I'm being a racist 🤷🏼ββοΈ
exactly, this guy was drugged out from a recent surgery (I believe) and police use a sledge hammer on every fly they see (analogy). They don't have patience for this... their thing is trap and control... which fails in some scenarios. G. F. had lot of drugs in his system...
But black people even if you show that do not care... nor does the media. That does not grab attention in the media.. eventhough I've posted it multiple times, it's been around for a while. It might make people stop and think, which is good... but it doesn't change their feelings when they consider the long string of black people wronged and the history where black people by white people.. don't get me started on how black Africans sold out other African tribes to start slavery...
This is an emotional issue not a logical one, and one of "value", respect... the dominant "race" how they treat the downtrodden... I keep saying that. Perception is reality... what one perceives is their truth. There is no reaction on events like this other than a little sadness... and there's a black officer there... who is trying to do his job... no disrepsect to him from me.
Now if we were to have teams of black cops and you see continual video of them killing white people... if that's what the media showed, your opinion may change and think there is a trend. If you saw two black dudes in a truck chase down a white dude in central park and blast him while defending themselves... and they get away with it. At some point, you may start to wonder. Remember, what black people experienced, their vantage point... how they feel. This crap used to happen and it be considered "good" and white people not prosecuted. They see it as..."nothing has changed". When I say black or white... it's a general statement, does not apply to all people, it's a general description people may associate with.
It's the knowledge of good and evil isn't it...
People being killed by police officers is the real problem behind the current riots.
If you look at global statistics there are so much more people shot by police officers in the US than in many other countries.
In 2019 german police killed only 1.3 people out of 10mio while USA had about 1500 out of 10mio were killed.
In my opinion, it comes down to the question:
Should Police officers be allowed to use lethal forces?
And if they are allowed what are the circumstances they may use lethal force?
Answering both questions is the first step of reducing police brutality.
PS.
Yes more white poeple are killed in raw numbers, but black people are a minority and only take up 10%ish of the population (don't know the exact number).
But there 30% of all people shot by police officers are black. Meaning relatively black people are killed 3 times as often as white people.

Shut up.. please shut the fuck up. I am black. I know firsthand the struggle of my people being harassed, hurt, tortured, killed.. for their skin. White people CANNOT be oppressed. White people are only killed the most because they are the majority of the population. The amount of ignorance is ASTRONOMICAL. You try to act oppressed, but you are not. Stop trying to find issues for yourself. Don't tear down BLM because you feel like you aren't getting attention. Let me spell it out for you.
White people - 191 Million in the state of America.
Black people - 42 Million
Divide that by 42 and you find out that there is 4.55x white people as there are black. In 2019, there was 370 white people killed by the cops. 370 divided by 4.5 is 82; the amount of black people that should have been killed by cops if it was equal. BUT. There was 235 black people killed by the cops. You divide that by 82, and you will see that is 2.87 TIMES more than what that should have been. There is 3X more than black people killed by the cops than white people. I will say it louder for the ones in the back. THREE TIMES MORE BLACK PEOPLE ARE KILLED BY POLICE THAN WHITE PEOPLE. So, next time you say some shit as dumb as, 'white people are killed more than black people' remember this, you dumb shitbag. Everytime us black people are pulled over, we pray. We pray we get to see our family, kids, and friends again. Shut the fuck up and accept your white privilege.I'm just going to comment on the statistic, since I've seen it before and it really is a mess. So basically it shows more people getting killed by the police that are white, this is true, by about 100 more people. The problem is the statistics do not tell you how there are tons more white people in this country compared to black people. White people make up 72.4% of the population while 12.6% are black (as of July 2016). So the fact that only 100 more white people were killed is not close to what the numbers should be. Now I would rather have these numbers at 0, but obviously that isn't happening.
That's how people be and society we will all complain about this death but not the rest cause everyone else is. And also people just seem to randomly complain. Everyone complaining now wasn't complaining a month ago and i can tell you with 100% fact we still had police been racist or brutal all over the world.
it's the same for anything like suicide, people always seem to care more after you kill yourself. It's just called humans be humans and it's awful.Would be interesting to know what action was taken against officers. There are similarities with the current situation, if you have him cuffed and zip tied do you need to keep knee on his back. The audio is chilling too, they really don't seem to care that they may killed him, it seemed to be a joke to them. Maybe this just shows that there's something wrong with police training in how they manhandle suspects, regardless of race.
Many white people died from police brutality, and it barely makes the news. Media focus on the black because they make more money out of it.
More shares, more clicks, more news, they profit from rioting. It's all about money, that's why white life don't matter.Watch a lot of Democracy Now, do you? It doesn't seem to be your kind of media outlet.
I never heard of it at the time. It seems to be a dangerous technique, and US police don't seem to grasp the concept of what they're supposed to be achieving: less crime.yes these protest isn't about black lives it about racism and how the cops target blacks unfair % wise. All lives matter sometime it's hard to agree on if BLM WLM its called unknown bias the media and history trains your brain to think this way most people does don't even no they think this way and that's how they come across as being racist. It's hard to even believe that people believe that BLM because they never protest or riot of sometime even help the police to solve black on black crime. It's really confusing these celebs that come out like a time like this are the worst they appear for 1 week then disappear the other 52 when they should be using their platform to always help.
I think that despite I feel the main problem with Floyd's case and this other is police brutality, it seems that the problem that certain groups hold is not how police exceed their force but that a white person kills a black person. If black kills a black or a white kills a white it's less outrageous to them. Why? I'm not sure. But seems like the moment there's a identity difference between the abuser and the abused, it always cause outrage in some sector of population.
Police brutality will always exist. The important thing is to promote a culture where crime and lawlessness is condemned. It will lead to less police interactions, which will result in less police killings. Black and white.
White people need to start worrying about their communities
A lot of drug abuse and broken families.
#WhiteFamiliesMatterWhite man black man yellow man purple man every man and woman and child matters. You have a very good point and I agree with you. Is absolutely stupid and childish for this stupid Riot over some black man who died. But I guarantee it's the Democrats behind the whole sham and making this such a big deal and causing the riots to put our president down. But I guarantee that stupid Biden couldn't handle a handful of paper to wipe his ass with 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No you are a white devil don't you know that by now? Cops kill more whites, blacks kill more whites (outside of their own, and especially vice versa)
Stand up and be counted or stand down and be a cuck.People won't like my opinions on this as I'm white hate whites n males, I mean we deserve it don't make it right but I completely understand a races black or anything, I don't know why whites are we are shit to everything even ourselves so I don't know if that opinion matters as much normally don't.
All lifes matter! No doubt that the media is much more focused on the rasistically triggered cases if course. They might have covered this one not to heat up the discussion in the public. There is a long way to go but it needs to be started now
It seems that the police involved in these deaths are not trained enough. That or their methods should be changed.
All lives matter. Don't rely on the public in determining your values. So what? There are a lot more white people. What are the statistics when adjusted for the population?
don't be an asshole... of course (duh) everyone matters fool, ... but by even asking this you're missing the whole point. And them having their 'moment' doesn't detract from anyone else mattering
The sad irony here is that if Tony Timpa's death was given the same public outrage. The police tactic would of been outlawed prior to George Floyd...
It happens to all types of races every single day it's just not made a big deal or a Big Splash in the news. I think all lives really matter but seems to be one-sided here in this particular situation as usual
nope white lives don't matter at all, in fact they are the only race that doesn't matter even in the slightest, kill em all, am I right?
Srsly tho, this is population replacement, white birthrates been plummetting for years, actually look at what percentage of the world is white vs other races you may be surprised to find that we are a minorityWho is stopping you from protesting? You want media attention, go get it. If you feel strongly about this injustice, do something about it. Why are you waiting for others to do it?
