I'm sure somebody is going to post on this matter and blame the police. I'm talking about the Jacob Blake shooting that happened in Wisconsin. Check the link in the bottom.
I've already seen tons of news saying the black unarmed man was shot and he had 3 kids in the back seat. They're really trying to paint the cops in a negative light. What they failed to tell you was that the guy did not cooperate with the police.
You can see from the video footage cops had their guns drawn. And the guy walks back into the car and appeared to be leaning over, which could appear that he was reaching for a weapon.
And another thing this guy has a criminal record, surprising right? He has a record of domestic abuse and 3rd degree sexual assault. Funny how most media leave stuff like this out.
Now shooting the guy in the back 7 times did seem excessive. And I'm not sure what lead up to this moment so I'm sure more details will be released in the coming days.
But I wanted to share it because this of course started another riot and looting... At this point I think people just want excuses to loot. All the details haven't even been released yet and people go crazy the very next day...
Based on what I've seen they are dealing with a criminal that refused to cooperate. This has absolutely nothing to do with race.
Now people shouldn't be asking why are police racist towards black people. They should be asking why do black people refuse to cooperate with the police? Yes I know a general statement. But just based on the last 3 shootings I'm aware of it all involved black people with a criminal history resisting arrest.
Personally, I don’t permit people who aren’t me to make and enforce rules for me, it’s as simple as that. And I handle my own problems, so there’s really no purpose for police for me. I don’t want harassment or help from an uninvolved third party. The most important thing in life to me is to have absolute, unregulated liberty, even if it results in living in a more perilous world, that’s what nature intends for, man-made shit is completely invalid. So I’m just not going to grant or acknowledge any sort of authority over me, certainly not by another mere human who is no better or worse than me and has no true and naturally valid reasoning to do so. Our entire society as we know it is naturally invalid, it only exists because it’s comfortable for us, not because it’s correct. Controlling people’s behavior would be nice, but it’s completely wrong to do so. And it’s not like we signed up for this, we were just born into it and were told it’s “the way”, and most people aren’t intelligent enough to think critically for themselves and to challenge ideas based in “tradition”, or to control behavior on a mass level.
So I say all that to say that it’s absolutely natural to defy any semblance of authority, because authority is only a concept that exists in the human mind. And the bottom line is, while none of us signed up to live in this system (and don’t tell me to leave America, human-imagined authority is a problem literally everywhere habitable on the planet, it’s not like there’s somewhere else I can go to live as I see correct), these officers DID sign up to be police. If you didn’t know it was a potentially dangerous job, you need to get out more, and the police academy needs a more honest brochure. I 100% expect defiance from any human when confronted with supposed authority, the only thing that changes that is fear, whether that’s fear of being harmed or fear of being kidnapped and imprisoned against your will. Defiance is 100% a naturally correct response, you’ve been broken if you’ve lost that. Police, for better or worse, are trained for this. The onus is on them to either act correctly at all times, or pick another career path. Civilians are untrained, you can’t have the same expectations of them as police, who have clearly bought into this incorrect system so much that they wanted to actively be a part of it. So that’s all on the cops. Don’t discharge your weapon until a weapon has been fired at you, that’s the only way to do this somewhat right. If you aren’t up for that, sell insurance, learn to fix cars, be a fuckin’ landscaper, whatever, there are a bajillion other jobs out there. But humans need to learn that we have no entitlements in nature other than unbridled freedom. All that other shit about being entitled to happiness, safety, security, prosperity, or even survival, is fuckin’ fake news at its fakest.

I've been arrested many times. This is not rocker science. You cooperate with the police and everything goes smoothly.
The cops are doing a job where their life is in danger every day. They are doing a job dealing with people who hate them every day. They are doing a job where they put up with shit from people day in and day out.
Throw in a 'yes sir' every now and then. It puts the cops at ease. Cooperate and be polite. It's pretty damn simple.
You have the option to not do that. But if you don't, you can't complain about the consequences. The moment you refuse to cooperate, you escalate the situation a LOT. You immediately put the cops on high alert. You immediately get their adrenalin going where a million years of evolution and the natural instinct for survival kicks in bigtime.
By your own choices you start a chain of events.
If you have a gun pointed at you, any rational person would immediately freeze. If you do not, what kind of message does that send? It puts the person holding the gun on highest alert, that's what it does. It sends a message that you are very dangerous and have completely disregard for your own life. That's the most dangerous kind of person there is.
Then you actually open the door of the car and reach for something? Does anyone seriously think that's a good idea when you have a gun pointed at you?
If you have a gun pointed at you, and you don't freeze and do EXACTLY what you are told, it means you have no regard for your life. You are temping fate right up to the very edge. The way I see it, this particular incident amounted to suicide by police. The dude may as well have shot himself.
If the police have no other way to handle someone, than to shoot them in the back 7 times, then I'm sorry not sorry but they deserve to be portrayed in a bad light.
And why is it whenever someone is a victim of police brutality, a number of people always try to justify the police's actions through defaming the victim? Yes, they may have been not complying but that's not the fucking point! The point is the police use unreasonable force which should be a criminal action within itself! But many get away with it! How does that not bother you less than, someone refusing to comply with the police.
I don't understand how you can sympathise more with a police officer who is supposed to "protect and serve" but shot a man in the back 7 times, in front of his children, and probably traumatised them children for the rest of their lives, than the victims of this shooting that being Jacob Blake and his children!
Can you accept except that the police do wrong, and they need to be seriously reformed and instead of investing billion of dollars into police forces, some of that money should be invested in community such as education. Because if this is what police are doing with their billions of dollars of funding meanwhile you have schools being very underfunded- then I'm sorry, but the police don't deserve billions of dollars of investment, they clearly abuse their power.
Ok well why are you defending a criminal? I don't know from what I recall over 8 million dollars was donated to the Floyd family. Don't you think it's weird people donated such large sums of money to a guy with criminal records and had a drug problem? Rather than using that money to rebuild the city that rioters destroyed.

But you see the guy refused to cooperate. And judging from what others have said he has attacked cops in the past. When you find out this guy's past records you're going to be on high alert. When you see him going to his car reaching for something you're not going to just let him do what he wants.
In fact the guy was downright irresponsible for doing this in front of his children.
Like I've mentioned before if he did have a gun and started firing that would not only endanger the cops, but it would put other people's lives in danger as well.

The whole point of the police is to prevent violence from breaking out and keeping it safe. You don't wait until something bad happens then do something about it.

Police are literally causing the violence. Blake and Floyd may have been criminals but they did not deserve to be treated with the force that they were treated with and Floyd didn't deserve to die. Just because someone is a criminal it does not mean you dehumanise them. If that was the case, some lawyers' jobs are to defend criminals.

I dont get why American police dont cuff people before speaking to them, that happens here you get arrested fans suspected of a crime and cuffed then they deal with it and if you've done nothing wrong then your uncuffed and on your way.
And when your cuffed it's easier to deal with said person when they start acting up/not listening, also they will be surrounded by officers so they have nowhere to go

It doesn't help that the media and activists make it difficult for cops to be tough on criminals. If they tased him and restrained him on the ground then it would've been racist police brutality and they'd get lambasted in the media and threatened by extremists.
As terrible as it was, they made the right call. He could've had a gun in there, he could've drove off with his three kids as hostages and hurt people during a police chase.

I agree that someone with a criminal history, ignoring police instructions and reaching into his car, could have been anything, police were right to defend themselves. There are ways that this situation could have gone better had the guy been cooperative. For example if he had explained what his intent was or let the police search the car for firearms.
It could have been anything and the police are in a very tough spot at this time. Feels very much damned if they do damned if they dont. If they defend themselves on the presumption that he was reaching for a gun then they're in the wrong, if theyd ignored it and he had pulled a gun then you have one or more officers gravely wounded or worse. Theyre right to be sceptical and alert in all situations and shouldn't lay their lives on the line for the sake of not assuming an ex-con is doing wrong.
Regardless of the ethnicity of the person if they're not cooperating and are reaching into the car to grab something without making clear what it is, youd get defensive. Now if he'd said like "just let me grab my documents from the car" then the police would have been alert but not opened fire.
It's a similar but less extreme situation in the UK, police are receiving complaints for ruining gatherings and are trying to approach them sensitively because some are birthdays parties they dont want to ruin and such. French police are also under scrutiny for breaking into a bar and removing people not co-operating with government guidelines. Bottom line is that the police shouldn't be the public enemy for upholding the law. Just because you disagree with a law that doesn't make the police wrong for abiding by that. Likewise if you dont cooperate with police and act suspiciously in a way that could pose a risk to life, police have a duty to act accordingly to protect themselves and those around them.
This could’ve been handled differently, imho. Was Jacob wrong for resisting arrest and reaching into his car? Definitely. But I think it’s agreeable that 7 shots to the back is excessive. Cops are supposed to de-escalate situations and use their gun as a last resort. Why couldn’t they have tackled him? 3 cops, 1 man, it was doable. They also have tasers, why couldn’t those have been used First? Why straight to the gun? I understand Jacob had a bad track record, as did George Floyd. Still, it doesn’t excuse the action in itself. Another shooting of an unarmed black man at a time of such widespread unrest and division is the last thing we need. It’s a blow all around.
no the officers did everything right. they had to be able to shoot him because they didn't know what he was reaching for. there is no other way to handle this
don't say 7 shots is excessive. you don't know how guns work, you can keep firing until the enemy is down if you feel the need. your safety is not contingent on how many bullets you fire

But walking back to his car, reaching inside, he puts the officers in a position where they have to make a decision. If he pulls out a gun and gets a shot off he could have killed one of them. Should he have died? No. But his actions seem to have contributed to what happened. And would the situation have been any different if a white person had acted in the exact same way? I dont believe so, but easy for people to jump on the bandwagon
I saw a vodeo with some journalists bekng taken through some trainign excercises with armed police in US. One scenario was a guy not cooperating who went to the boot if his car, pulled a gun and due to their hesitancy he shot both journalists. It would seem the police are trained that reaching into a vehicle when not being cooperative is a red flag. The Police need reform, but so does society. The level of mistrust is ridiculous, and if people teach their kids from a young age to disrepect the police its no wonder problems continue. As with politics, the way to change is to engage with it. More people from the most deprived areas should be joining the police, or lobbying politicians for changes to how the police force is run.

I don't care if he was resisting arrest, that's definitely not enough to get shot. If a police officers nerves are so thin that a man casually walking around his car and reaching in is worth getting shot at, they shouldn't be in the police force in the first place. He should be arrested and charged with attempted murder.

The second video proves that he was already suffocating in the car. The cops could have helped him, had he not resisted. If you also read credible sources, you can see that drugs and COVID-19 played a role in his death. If only closed minds came with closed mouths. That is your opinion. They tried non lethal force with a taser first. If you do not comply with an officer of the law you better be prepared to suffer the consequences. This isn't the play ground this is real life with real consequences. If you fear for your life which they rightfully should have, lethal force is warranted. Cops don't shoot to wound. Also please don't tell me the people a man casually strolling around his car is not life threatening are more emotional than you. The amount of nervousness and fear you have to feel to handle a potential threat as a real threat is something i'd expect from a scared child not a trained police officer. Here’s the thing. Whether someone agrees with me or not, you can’t just shoot somebody because they appear threatening. At that moment cops shot him, they most likely didn’t know his criminal background; they shot him because they felt threatened. Cops have other options to weapons though, one of which is, you guessed it, a taser. Shooting someone is a last resort, especially with such excessive force. Could have shot him in the leg, arm— but seven times in the back?
It’s not the first time such an injustice has been committed to any person, including people of color. But you also have to understand that these people are supposed to be trained professionals. We notice bias because we do have internal biases, and as officers, there should be bigger consequences because yes, they should have taken other precautions. Just because you’re rowdy doesn’t mean you deserve to die.
A report I read said they had already used a tazer on him. And there's another angle of him wrestling with the officers before walking around the car. But there were no body cams so the whole truth will probably never come out.

1. It is impossible to value human life too much. When everyone valued human life a lot, we had much more peaceful world.
2. Compared to any other human on Earth I am one of the very last in whose case emotions could cloud anything in my mind. You have no idea.
3. Even if he had a gun. Why not shoot at arms or at legs? Nobody could answer this question. Nobody answered it so far. Find completely logical answer to why you have to kill immediately instead of making non-dangerous. The thing is no one of you could even think about one, because in this case there is none.
The only answer is: Their preference is to kill, not to preserve life. And now tell me, human whose preference is to kill, has good impact on society or bad?

Here's a question, a sincere question. Have you taken the time to get the perspective of a black person? I have. Actually, I've been given the perspective of a black man with no criminal record and a black father. Their own experiences give you a different perspective. I'm not saying the shooting was right or wrong, but if you ask a black person about their perspective, you're gonna get an angle you'd otherwise never get, and you'll understand that there's more than just "why didn't they just listen to the police". Again, I emphasize that I don't know who was in the right, but getting perspective helps.

Since they know they aren't going to have anything worth losing left to make them care about how to treat others with respect to get good in return. They lose that ability and lose their mentality to know they get revealed from the police of what they tried to cover up, and take their anger out on the police who needed to bring criminals to the place they belong to. These people are mad they are now known for the bad they did, instead of them taking responsibility for doing they take it out on the polive as the last cope out to do when the police come forward with the crime they are there to arrest them for.

Just because someone gets shot doesn’t mean they drop dead and stop fighting like in the movies… Unless you turn someone’s skull into a canoe or hit their spinal cord they’re going to keep fighting until they lose about half of their blood/oxygen. There are some cases where they don't have to comply with the cops. In many states if no crime was committed you don't have to provide ID for example. However I think in a lot of cases it's best just to listen to them and speak as little as possible. They can use simple conversation to get information and claim you were suspicious. The cops need better training because this was not justified. No matter how you look at it. If the were scared he had a weapon in the care that should have stopped him from getting to the door.
I’m concerned about his kids. You know how much psychological damage that could do. Imagine if you just watched your father get shot in the back multiple times. Sure he has a criminal record but that doesn’t mean fill him up with bullets. There were other routes that could have been taken. It isn’t hard to cooperate with a cop but especially now you really don’t know if the cops are gonna follow the rules. Police have t change and this is just another example of why. How could you be so ignorant and blind as to not realize that murder should never ever be justified. Police are supposed to be protectors of justice not murders with permission.
You know what's hard? Your coworkers responding to domestic violence calls and being shot dead the moment they approach the door, and then trying to determine, yourself, in real-time, how to be cautious and not lose your life in a split second when dealing with violent, evil criminals, all while having to balance your safety with public outcry.
@crmoore Yes there are dangerous people out in the world but that isn't as surprising fact, same goes for putting your life on the line as a cop. What is surprising is how many cops resort to killing people without hesitation. It's not just black people that are being shot and killed by incompetent police officers even though blacks seem to have it worse. And if you say whites are shot more we'll let me tell you why, there are more white people in America than blacks now if every race had an equal number of people you would see that blacks are indeed targeted more than whites. And how do you know that domestic abuse wasn't happening in front of his kids? People are trying to paint this man as an innocent family man that did nothing wrong, but 1-he wasn't supposed to even be at the address he was at because of said domestic Abuse, do he was in violation right there 2-here had a warrant for his arrest3-he took a key from person who filled the domestic abuse charges and refused to give it back 4-he attempted to go to his vehicle despite being told not to... a vehicle that there were kids inside... Was he going to try to take off which could of led to high died chase endangering his children? Going for a gun or... You see it's the not knowing the intent that cops sometimes have to make a decision... A decision forced by that man's inability to obey the letter of the law... I never said he was a concerned dad, I said that the children seeing their father shot at multiple times could have damaging psychological effects on them. Sure he wasn't the best person but he's far from the worst and the worst people are in prison, so how come the police were able to detain people worse than him but can't manage to detain him with teasers, they shouldn't have pulled out their guns first. Their only goal should have been to detain him, that way no one would have a issue with it. The issue is why they felt having to shoot him SEVEN times was acceptable or necessary.

@Brainsbeforebeauty No I misread what you said, which is my fault. Thought that still doesn't account for the people who are assuming he was grabbing for a gun. We can't make certain claims which is why in my original post stated that murder should never be justified. If criminals go to jail for murder, so should cops under circumstances. But cops are being held above the law and almost everything they do wrong is seen as part of the job.
Know the difference tho between murder and justifiable shooting... And again where the concern for the 11 year old girl shot in Wisconsin this month? Or the other 148 shootings so far this year? Didn't know snot those huh🤔 why not 🤔 It's only an issue when criminals get shot trying to avoid arrest and not innocent people that ride concern and outrage? And you see nothing wrong with that picture? Maybe the cops sched more aggressive because people having gotten more aggressive and bold with all the civil unrest the last couple months... I didn't know about the eleven year old getting killed because I live in a different state. People have to spread e news of injustice like how Blm is doing or else no one else in the world will know about the cruelty. How can you fight against injustice if you don't know it even happened?

The heart of the matter is your question, why do people refuse to cooperate with the police? This entire case wouldn't even be, if the man who was shot had cooperated. And they police have the right to save their bacon. They couldn't use a taser on this guy if in fact, he was getting a gun. Tasers sometimes fail and if the guy was getting a gun the police officer could have been killed.
And odds are, somewhere in the US, a similar thing will happen again within the next two weeks. Happens all the time. People have to cooperate and not act like wild banshees.

A sensible cop would arrest said person instead of pumping a person’s back full of bullets. I suppose shooting would be reasonable if there is an actual imminent danger to the cop, but you also don’t shoot someone 7 times in the back for not cooperating
First, why was a guy who was convicted of sexual assault in a car with 3 kids.
